I am having a Birthday Party Saturday for my son who is turning two, he's got two older brothers, so he is getting good at older kids games and toys, I don't think he would have alot of problem playing games like hot potato and pin the tail on the donkey, the thing is though there are going to be other two year old there, that I would like to involve in games, Does anyone know any games for two year old boys, the ages other are 2,4,5,6, and 11, the 11 year old is my other son, he will play about anything to be involved. Any ideas? How can I have a party for that kind of age range and everyone be happy and not bored?

I asked a similar question for my two-year old's party this weekend. The resounding advice (from Yahoo folks as well as friends & family) is not to overthink it. The birthday boy and the other two year old is going to be perfectly delighted with presents, goodie bags and cake.

However, you do have more of a variety of ages there. What about decorating their own cupcakes (grownups even think that's fun). "Make your own pizza" is fun, too with mini-pizzas and toppings in bowls.

Any similar do-it-yourself craft (birthday crowns with glitter & stuff) will engage everyone at their own level. Someone suggested to me an "easer egg hunt" kind of activity, but with other goodies. Give each kid a little bucket or bag they can keep and hide little things around the house or yard for them to find. It's nearly Halloween - you could do something really cute with little plastic pumpkins and halloween toys & candy.

Have fun! My son's party is Sunday and I'm still deciding on exactly what to do.

Pinatas are fun!! When we do that we just have each child go one at a time and only get one or 2 hits each turn. If they aren't getting it beat up enough have an adult take a good whack at it after everyone has had at least one turn. You could print a large Tonka truck, cut out a wheel, make color copies of the wheel and play "pin the wheel on the truck!" I don't know if your little one will get into the games as much as the other kids, but I bet he will love watching!! You may also want to have a side table with some fun crafts on it. Just some crayons and coloring pages. Maybe black and white copies of a tonka truck you can color. Link below for Tonka coloring pages. Maybe check your local resale shop for a game like Elefun, or play golf or something like that they can do inside and still fun for your 2 year old. Have fun!!!

Sure there's loadsa stuff.
Twister (if you have the mats) is always a good one.
And the drawing game (you split into say 2-5 teams and draw a picutre. the other teams have to guess it)
Charades
PASS THE PARCEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no one gets bored with pass the parcel. I'm 13 and it's my fave game. Count how many people are coming then wrap up a present that many times. Make the present small but the wrapping huge that way they'll be excited.
Then supply a range of snacks and let them play musical statues or chairs or whatever.
Have a great and fun day!
Email me if you want some more games and rule, I have tonnes.

I had a birthday party for my kids that had a big age range of children too. The two year olds seemed to like playing with the balloons and running around more than anything. We had a pull string pinata too - they actually liked it. I would say, take peoples advice and go ahead and plan some activities, but don't get too upset if they just run around crazy!

We rented a moonwalk. That is a universal fun thing. Also, we have a mini trampoline which kids jumped on here and there. Also, we had a pinata with pull strings. All ages enjoyed that. I made sure that I put lots of suckers and soft candy in the mix, along with some neat toys for the older kids who tend to get the pick of the loot.
Have fun.

At my two year old's party I did a twist on the old easter egg hunt idea. It was a farm animal theme. While the kids were occupied with a different activity, some helpers and I put/hid candy and little farm animals all over the yard. Then we passed out tin milkpails to serve as collecting baskets. The children kept and took home their pails of candy and animals as a party favor. This idea could be tweaked to fit with just about any theme.

well the other 2 year old boys will try hard to learn to play any game that the older boys are playing. Even if the game doesn't go well they will have fun. Good Luck! My oldest one is turning 4 this weekend!! We are having his party at the local playground.

For my 2 year old twins we had a party in the garden with lots of cake and balloons (although getting a bit chilly now). Pass the parcel went a bit chaotic and they didn't all get the idea of waiting for a turn. My advice would be to have music and lots of toys and let them get on with it - and relax so you enjoy it too!

Duck Duck Goose maybe? Have them play that and if you can make it back without getting tagged then they get a piece of candy (or some other really small prize).

A Treasure Hunt would be a great game for all of them as well. Draw a map and have them find clues to find the treasure!

Pass the parcel, that should work cos you supervise and the older children will help the younger ones. Simon says is also probably ok and what about musical chairs. I am sure that they will pick it up as they go along.
