My dermatologist gave me Retin-A. It slowly peels off layers of skin so that the fresh, unscarred skin appears. It was fantastic! Good luck!

How to treat acne scar

There are times when acne can end up with scars, especially on the face. To opt for a cosmetic procedure, ensure that your face is free of active acnes and since this procedure varies from case to case, a consultation with your dermatologist and/or your cosmetic surgeon will help as he will be able to provide you with the options which will suit you best.

Removal of acne scars is a fine and delicate procedure and might just require a combination of procedures which are mentioned below. Do in depth research of the cosmetic surgeon whom you wish to get operated by. Make sure all the questions you have, are answered before you take the final step, such as what is his status in the field he specializes? Judge the results by viewing before and after photographs of previous cases as well as refer the testimonials of previous patients. These and many more queries that you may harbor must be duly solved before you finalize the procedure for your acne scars.

Tip: Never consider clinics who advertise cheap treatments. More often than not, these clinics employ less experienced people and even the sanitation is compromised. Even though you will pay less and get the treatment done, you will invariably have to spend extra money after you return on surgeries to mend their mistakes.Following are a list of procedures employed to remove acne scars:

1. Dermabrasion

2. Subcision

3. Chemical Peels

4. Punch Techniques

5. Laser Resurfacing

6. Augmentation

Go to your local drug store and buy a small jar of vitamin E ointment. It's very gooey and doesn't smell very good, but it works. I have used it for years on all of my scars. It will help heal the wound and will keep it from scarring at all. If you already have scars it will minimize them. This stuff is very cheap and it works wonders. If you don't like it, no big deal, it only cost a few dollars and one small jar will last over a year. I usually use it before I go to bed at night. Good luck

First, do you know that the scars come from you popping them. And new ones come from the puss that squirts out of an old one that you didn't clean well.
So, stop popping, and get some proactive.
Stop eating greasy foods and stop drinking soda.
Eat more Veggies, and drink lots of water.
Keep your greasy hair out of your face. When washing yourself, try to use two different rags, one for the body and one for the face. Make sure you clean your face everynight until you get the Pro-Active solution, it workds.

when you say scars, do you mean red pigmant scars or do you mean deep hollow scars?

Red scars are easy to fade. You need a facial wash with glycolic acid in such as MD formulations cleanser and use it twice a day. Worked wonders for me.
