I should preface this whole answer by saying, you may be hypoglycemic or have sugar issues which the "diet" is compounding - That having been said,
Unfortunately, neither you nor doctor Atkins can fight physiology ... Your body needs carbohydrates to live... Period.
Some people do well on Atkins and lose the weight .. and keep it off but most lose it only to regain it .
You may be having cravings because you know that you "can't" have carbs but more likely it is your body fighting for what it needs. Carbs in and of themselves are not the problem .. too many processed carbs in excessive amounts are the problem
As I said your body needs carbs are the chief source of energy functions for all body functions and muscular exertion. They also help to regulate the digestion and utilization of proteins and fats.
While the body is able to convert amino acids and amino acids into glucose, it is often times not enough on a low or no carb diet

This is a very common problem with the Atkins diet!! One reason you could be craving sweets could be due to the fact that you may have a Candida albicans (yeast) overgrowth in your system. Everyone has this in their intestinal system, but when the levels of yeast get out of balance, the body often craves sugar because you are depriving the yeast of their food (which is a GOOD thing--you don't want yeast overgrowth in your system).
Try taking a teaspoon of cinnamon every day (either in capsules or mixed in your food) to help control your sugar cravings. Ginger can also help. You can use stevia (natural herb) as a sugar substitute as it doesn't have any sugar or sugar alcohols to mess up your diet.
Also, green tea can help control sugar cravings and boost your metabolism. Best of all, try V-8 juice and parsley to reduce sugar cravings. Spirulina and chlorella may also help you eliminate sugar cravings...they really help me! Good luck!!

You may be having a low blood sugar episode. www.hufa.org - the low blood sugar link may help explain it. Are you taking all the nutritional supplements, too? Are you drinking the water?
Check the Atkins website to see if they allow any carb at all (I have never done the Atkins diet, but I did have chronic low blood sugar until I switched to being a diabetic).
You should stop craving in a week or two, if Atkins works like Zone or Protein Power diet.

It's because you feel deprived and are now obsessing about the fact that you can't have sugar.
If all you were allowed to eat was sugar and carbs, you'd probably be craving meat and fats. It's human nature.

Get off the No-carb bandwagon while you still have the energy. Adkins does help you lose weight. However, there IS NO SUBSTITUTE for healthy eating (Carbs and all) and exercise. Talk to a professional or even your doctor he will be able to refer you to a nutrition specialist that will get you on the right track.
And yes, you are craving sugar because your body is starving for carbs. It is normal. Carbs aren't the enemy. Not burning the carbs you eat to stay alive is.

probably because you are depriving yourself of surgar.
you may lose weight on atkins but it will come right back as soon as you give up on the diet. i'm not sure how old you are but the fact is that you live a certain lifestyle and most likely you will fall right back into your old habbits and baloon back in to a pork pie.
you don't need a diet, you need a complete and permanent lifestyle change.
Sorry to say that most likely will not happen.
Truth hurts
