Britain in my own small Islamic state and so why should i give a toss about what the rest of the country thinks? Don't people realize that Britain will soon be run by Muslims and we will all have to wear a veil or be punished?

Are you joking? If a person walked into my shop with a veil on, or a crash helmet on, or a mask, or a big old baseball cap covering their face I would tell them to take it off because I - from a british culture - find it rude to cover your face, it says that you are an untrustworthy person and you have something to hide. I don't give a damm what colour, creed or religion you are.

if you don't like the FACT that Britain is not an Islamic state and never will be you are quite welcome to go somewhere else.
Is it any wonder that Muslims get a bad reputation when it's followers have your attitude.
Veil wearing was originally done to protect womens skin from the sun, then the religous nuts decided it was a good way to keep women under their thumb. Wake up you are being used.

It's not your veil people have a problem with, it's your attitude that you have the right to take over another country! If you wonder why Muslims get such a hard time maybe you should re-read your own question.

There is no islamic state in Britain. if we went over to your country we would have to obey your rules about covering up-in britain british women do not cover their faces and do not have their eyes shown through a slit of material. Jack Straw was right for speaking his mind - stating that he likes to see who hes talking too- and so do i.It is damn rude of you! and besides the muslim religion is not a peaceful religion-and thank god im not one of you lot. I am an individual who thinks for themself! and am not controlled by anyone. If you do not like living in Britain leave!! we dont care a toss!

Nice bit of sarcasm in the last line....
But if you're semi-serious about the first part....people of any ethnic or religious identity, as far as I'm concerned, can wear any sort of clothing/decorative item/hairstyle/whatever they like, with extremely few limitations (for example, I might have problems with a bearded firefighter, BECAUSE the facial hair can interfere with ability to wear the protective air-packs they need to perform work safely).
However, you're going to have to accept that a number of folk, FOR WHATEVER REASON, are likely to be nervous/prejudiced or otherwise uneasy about things (and people!) that appear "different".
Ideologies, opinions, lifestyle changes all take time and energy.

I feel sorry for the women in a culture where they have to cover their faces, and I'm convinced it is culture rather than religion. What must it be like, being unable to recognise your mates until you're standing in front of them, or being unable to make friends because of that barrier? They must feel so isolated.
But I also feel sorry for the men. They have to go about their daily lives, never being able to talk to a woman or seeing a smile on a girl's face.
