I do believe that we have a creator...someone had to put us and the universe here, but I don't think that there is any one religion that represents the "true" religion.

I know you can believe in God but none of the "religious texts" because I do. People think God spends all his time up there wondering who is doing bad today and who is breaking which commandment today. He has better things to do. He's busy making other worlds, where this same stupid debate will rage on for centuries, you know why...because he likes it. He loves the fact that everyone is talking and fighting over Him. At least, that's what religions want us to believe. They want us to believe it is God's will that we fight and kill and torture in His name.

See thing is, God doesn't really care that much. He gave humans the gift of free-will because He knew it wasn't His job to make every decision for us. Sometimes we make bad decisions, but we try to make good ones more often. That is the path to God, being true to yourself and knowing that nobody makes the right decision all the time. But if your heart is just and you live your life to the best of your abilities then God will be happy with you. He only asks that you do what's best for yourself, your family, and your loved ones. At least my God does it that way.

God did not create religion, man did. You might want to look into Hinduism which is not a religion, but a way of life. They do not believe in converting people as they believe all religions are a path to God. As long as the ultimate destination is God realization, tehn you're on the right path. My daughter recently asked me how many religions there are in the world and I told her over 6 billion. Every person's relationship with God is unique and personal and therefore becomes their own personal religion.

Good luck with your quest and keep having faith. Believe it or not you're way ahead of those who know all the scriptures by heart but don't practice a lick of it!

Pagans neither have, nor feel a need for, any kind of Holy Scripture. We have commentaries and insights from those who've gone before us, but in the end we are our own priests and priestesses. We live our faith as we do because the rightness of it seem to us self-evident, we don't need a guy waving a book to tell us what we can see for ourselves. Einstein once observed that if mankind only refrains from evil for fear of punishment, and only does good in expectation of a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed. As for the Pagans, "Eight words the Wiccan rede full fill: So it harm none, do what you will."

Well then you do not believe in God. Not the God of the Bible- who is the Creator of all. I don't mean to sound harsh- but read the Bible with an open mind- and, if as you say, you believe in God- ask Him to show you Himself.
And then come back & let us know if you do or do not believe.

You are free to "believe" in whatever you want... But only those who come toGod inThe Way He proscribes And receive His free gift of salvation will enter Heaven.

One dose not need to know a great deal of The Bible to come to God... knowing The Bible is not going to get anyone into Heaven... there is no doctrin or dogma or ritual or rite of man that can get any one into Heaven... Only The Way God proscribes.

I accept email questions concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith. 1 honest question receives one honest answer to the best of my ability

i believe that the origins or faith and mythology originated from memories to describe organic phenomena that guy couldn't clarify on the time. an basic get mutually makes use of lightning: in case you've been a early human, without information of present day technological expertise or any type of present day information; how might want to you clarify lightning and thunder and not in any respect using a theory of electrical energy? does no longer it make sense to say that a spirit or god in the clouds replaced into making the bolts of sunshine that you said, and the loud crashing noises that follow them?

(waves howdy) Welcome to the Pagan/Wicca way of life!

Although we've got a few pretty well-known books *explaining* what we believe (example: The Spiral Dance, by Starhawk), Pagans (to use the broadest term) don't have any particular holy book _per se_.

(Us, independent-minded and ornery?---we make CATS look like yes-men.....)

Have never seen an evangelistic Pagan/Wiccan who was out to convert people in order to "save souls"; we figure the Eternal (by whatever name) has plenty of room and love for people in all spiritual paths....

Certainly. You can believe in any "God" you wish. Many of the American founding fathers were Deists, not Christians...

im kinda in the same boat. however you dont NEED the bible or any other "holy" book to believe in god. if you do then god isnt really merciful or forgiving as their "holy" books state is he. he knows whats in your heart and what you feel. he knows your beliefs and where your loyalties lay.
