I mean if Hugo Chavez is really training terroists how to pass for Latinos and get across the border.I mean if the drug cartels are using rpg and heavy machine guns to make sure drugs and other things make it acrosss the border,What is wrong with securing our borders?I am for migrant workers working here but that is all I want to come. The report that was released a day or so ago
is really disturbing.I hope everyone realizes that terrorists will not exclude any group of people from death.

Get it through your head - NO ONE in this country is against securing the border. Some people are against building fences which will NOT deter illegal immigration but only provide a giant, symbolic waste of money, but everyone is generally in favor of a strong secure border.

Absolutely there are terrorists crossing the border.
It's idiocy at its finest that the President did not close the border after 9/11.
If you didn't know, there's a rumor among the corridors of Washington, that there are about 12 suitcase nukes smuggled into the US. Not sure if that's true or not but some insiders swear it is.
Ultimately, the agenda is this, the elites want the same power priviledge the Mexican elites have. In Mexico, the elites rule the people and take advantage of them. They keep the people uneducated, poor and through various procedures circumvent their ability to "critically think". They develop a populace that's dependent on the government, that serves the government.
The US elitists want this too. That's why all the border has NOT been closed, that's why 40-50 million illegals have been allowed into the US, it's also why even now, high tech jobs are going overseas. Wages are plummeting. It's the eradication of the middle class, in favor of a permanent underclass that can be forced into submission via martial law.
The professors, media celebrities, news anchors, teachers, social groups, etc., are nothing more than useful idiots. The illegals don't even realize they're useful idiots being preyed upon on by elites in both the US and Mexico.

I'm not sure we should worry about Hugo yet. But I do believe we should continue to secure our borders because of threat.
If the administration did not build the fence liberals would say they are not doing enough. Now that they are building the fence they're saying Bush hates South America. No matter what, no matter if it's liberal or conservative, this issue is a no win situation and will not be solved by a fenced. What can be solved by a fence is that some remote 700 mile stretch of desert will be harder to cross in the future. Is that a good thing? Sure.
Will terrorist take advantage of Mexico's easy access to the US? Sure, they call them sleeper cells. That means (to the people who say they haven't seen any terrorists yet) they are already here and are going to keep low key or underground until they have a prime opportunity to kill Americans.

I think there are people in the US that truly want the US to be weakened to a point of failure.. It is telling that we get in bed with the NAFTA crowd in 1992 and as Ross Perot said "I hear this giant SUCKING SOUND.." it is the sound of latin americans crossing the Rio Grand or Colorado River into the US and getting their boots stuck in the sand.
I think a 700 mile fence is a proverbial drop in the bucket to what needs to take place. How about a 3 mile wide moat from Brownsville to SanDiego and fill it with Endangered American Crocodiles?
Say no to the beaners that aren't willing to come here legally and learn the language and assimilate as every other immigrant has had to do.
I think the likes of Chavez only exarcerbate the problems and the obvious concerns about the fluidity of our borders. Yes, we should stop terrorists, but in order to do so, we have to HALT with absolute clarity the entire flow at the border.

Nothing wrong at all. Those who make the most noise are the ones who benefit most from an open border. For them, so what if America is threatened? Surely many of these people do not care about America so much as their ability to walk across the border like it was a 24 hour Wal-Mart.
America is entitled to secure her borders in a reasonable, effective manner. Both parties are too petrified of accusations of "racism", however ridiculous they may be, in order to solve the problem.

Nothing is wrong with securing the borders. What is wrong is to deport people who have lived most of their lives here, and have ties here. People who have children here. Children who have lived here their whole lives and know nothing else. I don't oppose securing the border, but there needs to be something people can do that are here in this country now to become legal. Most people think it's so easy to get your papers and come here legally but it's not. I'm a US citizen, born here in the US. My husband is an illegal immigrant and just because we're married, he still can't get his papers, and just to file for them its more than a thousand dollars, which is money that most people just don't have!!! It's just not fair to rip families apart, no matter what the parents might have done wrong!!

Nothing wrong with locking down the border. I agree that we should secure our borders but I add that we should be able to use deadly force. Infiltrators should be made an example of to discourage others from trying to sneak across. I know that this will not happen any time soon until we change the lawbooks but I feel it should be necessary to send a crystal clear message to illegals trying to gain entry without going through proper channels that the U.S. has a no-tolerance policy and you will be greeted with extreme prejudice from the business end of a high-powered sniper rifle.

There is nothing wrong with it but measures to secure our borders and control the number of illegal immigrants coming in should have been done long ago. You cannot make it so easy for anyone of any country to just come in here and break laws or work without paying taxes and then cry about it later!!

Nothing is wrong with a secure border. It makes no sense for the most powerful country in the world not to have a secure border...Its part of what makes a country sovereign!

Nothing is wrong with securing the border. I invite anyone who is against securing the border to leave the door to their home wide open and see what happens.
