No one but Picasso would know for sure, but she looks like she's thinking of some wonderful thing that is about to happen, such as a romantic encounter.

wow, what a crazy news story i would die.. the painting is about a dream, so the news paper article says, i don't know the history behind it, but the girl does look peaceful

Hey Mad Scientist,
I found an article similar. So, abstract woman with penis nose, and elbow through her arm (lol).
My guess is a statement about homosexuality, about society's acceptance. But it is probably deeper than that.
