Have you noticed that most of the racists here resort to name calling when someone disagrees with them.. and wasn't there a question this morning from a racist talking about his Halloween costume that misspelled several words in just two sentences? Ignorance comes in ALL forms... doesn't it?

You may well be right but I don't pay that much attention to people's ability or inability to spell, provided that I can understand what they are trying to say. I do not expect all people to have an excellent command of the written English language, whether they are native speakers of it or otherwise; English is hideously complicated due to its non-phonetic basis and many irregular verbs, so mastering it can be difficult. (Consider, for example, the pronunciations of 'cough', 'enough', 'bough', 'through', 'although', and 'thought'. This 'o-u-g-h' letter group is a nightmare for some people to learn.)
You in the USA have, I feel, gone a long way towards simplifying the spelling of many words; I can only hope that other English-speaking nations will follow your lead.
I am, however, a bit disturbed that some of those who have replied to your question seem to be suggesting that all illegal immigrants are Mexicans. Is this true? I have not seen any empirical evidence to that effect but I am not in a position to challenge it, either.
In relation to your question, however, if a person is a legal immigrant and still does not know how to spell (in English) is that acceptable? And what about those who are American citizens and also do not know how to spell, but who are not supporters of illegal immigration? I would expect that there must be some people who fall into this category. Is their inability to spell acceptable? Or are you not actually considering the acceptability or otherwise of the situation but simply making an observation to promote healthy discussion on the topic of literacy in general?
I am just wondering. This is a very interesting perspective because I am not an American -- and I am always interested in learning more about your culture.

Lenky

No i really have not noticed this....
Do you really have the time to go through every response??
By the way, i believe it is very ignorant to generalize that all individuals that support illegal immigration do not know how to spell... please, correct any mistakes in my spelling....
Oh you see no mistakes??
I guess that answers your question:
No i did not notice...
by the way there is a check spelling choice right above the box where you write your answer... get a life!!!!!!!

Yes, and I'm not buying the Internet "shorthand" answer. The people who support ILLEGAL immigration are ignorant. The key here is ILLEGAL. Why can't people get this. I have no problem with people who immigrate to this country legally. My family came here LEGALLY from Italy many, many generations ago. The people who enter our country illegally have no respect for the country. Why should we respect them? The spelling problem is endemic to this forum. Either the people are too lazy to use the spell check, or are just plain stupid.

To the fullest extent. I will admit I do have spelling problems myself once in a while...but at least you can understand what I am trying to say.
Anyways, Deport all illegal immigrants AND illegal supporters. They love Mexico so much, they should go with them to Mexico-land.

seeing as how most of the people on here talking about it are between the ages of 13-17 I'd say that's a stab at our education system rather than their ethnicity.
