Sex offenders are everywhere. it's kinda fun. adds a little excitement to the world.

Hmm, three within a mile. Not surprising, as the town I live in is just larger than a square mile (1 mi x 1 mi). and it's a great deal less than one quarter of one percent (~0.18%) of the population. Only one I didn't already know about, but I work in the office they have to register. Of the other two, one is a charge from 10 years ago living quietly with his wife and kids (and save for a failure to properly register from before he moved here has an unblemished record), and the other is perilously close to going up the river on probation violations from an unrelated incident.
So, to answer the questions: 7 blocks and no.

I have 500 in my neighborhood........
...big surprise. I actually know for a fact already that there is a sex offender that lives about 3 blocks away from me. We got the little paper sent to everyone within a certain radius that he was moving in to the house.
...I guess Florida is sex offender heaven.
Orlando (Disney World area) has 823 though...... thats not surprising at all and Miami has 778 (which is just about 30 minutes South of me...)

Theres one that lives on the street across the highway from us. Less than 1/2 mile. I was shocked because I found out just this week. When we moved here the closest was about 3-4 miles away.

Well there are 28 within 1 mile of my house. SCARY!!!! Our town used to be a wonderful, safe place to raise your family but I don't feel it is now. As far as the lady saying that about the military base please still be careful. Just because they aren't caught doesn't mean they can't hurt your children. I can just imagine 28 registered how many aren't? One lives just 1 1/2 city blocks away from my house.

Fortunately while there are some in my town, none live nearby( that I am aware of). You never can be sure. I was surprised I saw a few high school buddies on the list from our communtiy. Guess you never really know someone.
Best thing to do though is keep a sharp eye on your kids and educate them and pray to God to keep a safe watch over them.

. 35 miles. Wow, that is scarry. I wish there was a special town somewhere that they all had to live in. No sex offender should be allowed to live within 20 miles of any school either.

I've looked it up before. Right now we are living on a military installation--so there are no sex offenders around. Where I used to live I was shocked! I have six sex offenders working with me--at a cooperate company! I couldn't hardly believe it.

I even have 3 toddlers and as quickly as we've been given here we did the verify. i could not believe that there have been intercourse offenders that lived on the army positioned up. i'm lively accountability militia and it taken aback me to discover that out. sure that's something that anybody could desire to look at, extraordinarily in the event that they have toddlers.

Oh my dear goodness, that is not even possible!!! Do you know how many red blocks for 'offenses against children' there are surrounding my parents home??? I dont actually live in the US anymore, but I looked up where I grew up. Yikes, that is enough to scare anyone to never go outside again.

OMG, I HAVE 7 Within 1/2 mile and the closest is 431 feet from my house and I've seen one of them at the store before....creepy...and my children play at the school sometimes.....let me amend, they USED to play at the school.
