if i use the mayo. lice treatment will it make my heair realy bad looking once i wash it out?

At this point, unfortunately, you can't really worry about how your hair is going to look once you're done. Get a chemical lice treatment... I for one will always avoid chemicals whenever possible,... but NOT FOR LICE. Kill them completely and totally. Hair is hair, it WILL grow back.

There are some great treatment for lice available in the drug store, Rid is excellent. You will also need to thoroughly wash and dry your linens especially your pillows as nits,baby lice, can live on them for a time and reinfect you. Mayo will not work and this will only get worse if you don't treat it correctly

A chemical treatment for your hair is a good idea, but not enough. You will need to get items to clean your house too. Especially your bedding. Also, blow dry your hair as often as possible. They hate the heat. Lice is a sign of clean hair but it is still gross.

it won't do much, just conditions the hair and then you will still have lice. use a real lice treatment or you will have to treat yourself every couple of weeks. there is a reason they recommend specific treatments.

How about you use the most commonly prescribed treatments for head lice are pediculicidal shampoos and creme rinses. These products contain insecticides and must be used with caution. See your pharmacist or doctor for more information.

Forget about hair right now.Use a treatment as it said.When lice are gone you can use a treatment.

Go get "Rid" at the store for your head.
Throw out all your combs and brushes.
Wash ALL towels, sheets, clothes and hats in the washing machine with soap & HOT water.
Upholstery and carpets need thorough cleaning too.
There aren't any shortcuts.
