I only ask as out of 20 answers to " what is the cheapest veg on the planet" only 15% answered carrot. So if carrot is not the cheapest veg why do they do it.

beause when soup is made you need carrots for added flavour..also onions, other wise it would not taste as good

If you think chicken broth is mis-labeled, try pork and beans.The piece of pork is about the size of one bean.
