No beer or chips. You don't want to kill it. Feed it with parrot food. The feathers will become very beautiful.

Ok... your bird WILL get drunk.
It is NOT healthy and could kill it.
Last year I came home from a New Years Party and my roommate had been stood up so she was getting drunk on vodka with Boo, my goffins. He could barely stand. He was okay, luckily. I gave him some water and we had some boiled eggs with whole wheat toast to get it thru his system and soak it up.
I gave him too much beer in college (we would go to parties together and stuff). It seems to pass thru him pretty quick, but really isn't good and you never know how much is "too much" so you always are taking the risk of fatally poisoning your parrot.
Also, I've found it impossible to keep him away from alcohol bottles ever since. He likes it TOO much and since I'm no longer a party girl I actually don't think it's so funny and don't want to take the risk of potentially killing or making my life's companion sick. It's no fun going out to restaraunts and bars anymore since he always goes for the bottles. This is the only time he will bite strangers, actually, if they don't share.
Your bird would starve to death and suffer malnutrition on ONLY chips. A few obviously won't hurt. Boo prefers the dill dip, at parties, though. It's fun if you can train your bird to dip the chips.
Anyway, honestly, I've been there and done that. It's not very healthy and could give your parrot some behavioral issues later on.
At the price you probably paid for your parrot (not counting the emotional bond)... do you really want to take unnecessary risks with its' life and well being?

You'll end up with an abusive parrot who wears a dirty string vest around the house, beats you, expects his dinner on the table the moment he gets back from work and will take the best years of your life, before leaving you for the tart down the road. Probably.

What the hell is the matter with you? You're stupid, irresponsible and shouldn't have a lovely bird as a companion. Give the bird to a local animal rescue organization immediately and spare yourself the trouble of taking care of the creature you are ABUSING.

It's your pet.. go for it. The bird might get sick though, as if you couldn't guess that.
