Hi Princess --

Have you had Marsanne before? It makes quite a powerful flavored white wine. If it's a question specifically about Tahbilk's wine -- then its a long time since I've had that, but if it's generally about the taste of Marsanne then its quite difficult to get a hold on its taste because it changes as it ages.

Citrus at first, underlying honeyed tones, almonds and floral notes. It has quite a full heavy mouthfeel. Sort of interesting wine that you can find a lot going on in it.

Tahbilk sort of brought Marsanne into the public eye by championing it, and they have some of the oldest Marsanne vines in existence, but of course its a southern French variety and there are some good wine there and its often in a blend with another local variety, Roussane.

OK, you've gone and done it. I can feel my mouth watering with anticipation -- I'm going to have to buy a bottle of Tahbilk's Marsanne to taste again.
