My girlfriend is trying to create a CD for her daughter's Bday party. She has Limewire and has the ability to download music from here. Is it illegal to copy to a CD for the party if the music is not shared out?

Downloads from Limewire are illegal full stop. If you want to stay legal then go to itunes or somewhere you pay for them.

I ahve read the last few questions they dont seem very helpful lol. It depends on the age of the child, 0-10 I would reccommened bob the builder, barbie girl, get them doing the macerene, if they can walk. The flintsones theme song, can be good for children. i hope I have given you some ideas. You can find childrens CD's in shops that will give you plenty of ideas. Hope the party goes well!

Any copyrighted music downloaded from limewire is illegal, no matter what you intend to do with it

yes, you are playing it for a group of people. if it was solely for personal use, it's not that bad, but for a group, it's like showing a movie you burned onto a DVD.
