Paul was Rabbi Saul a great rabbi as told in Acts-met the spirit of Jesus on the road to demascus-and let Jesus in the Holy Spirit-the promised comforter into his heart-left killing christians as when he held the cloaks while steven was stoned to death for believing in Jesus.

ok now get this-Now Paul as the bible says went preaching everywhere about Jesus -he got stonned and beaten but he didnt quit-he could have and been a great rabbi again-He said "I'm the least worthy of all, because I persecuted the church of Jesus." He went on to say "For me to live is the Messiah and to die is gain."
In prison as he says and history proves he wrote much of the bible-and told others to love their enemies just as Jesus had taught- that doesnt mean Mohamad was to marry a little 9 year old girl-that isnt LOVE-it means to care about others, even if they hate you-to love them and share the saving grace of Jesus amazing grace

do muslims sing amazing grace in the islam chapel in prison?????

Paul - The greatest Apostle in my eyes. Definately a Biblical hero for all the ages!

Not a weird idea. There is one problem with this however: the epistles are older than the gospels. The gospel writers were probably influenced by the epistles, and possibly either agitating against him or agreeing with him more than you'd hope. Quoting the gospels against Paul is very tricky. I'm sympathetic to that cause in principle, because Paul says some very unpleasant things, but in practice it's not very feasible. edit: tabby, it isn't clear at all that Isaiah was talking about an individual. Jewish tradition holds that he is referring to the people of Israel together. And Lion of Judah: are you saying the apostles composed the bible or had any influence on Paul? The first is obviously false, as the bible wasn't fixed before the third century, and the second even contradicts the eventual books of the NT, as Acts shows how much James and Paul disagreed, but Paul didn't let that stand in his way and just went out into the world to preach HIS view of christianity. Even the official history of the church acknowledges that!

David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades Christianity.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. On the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). Clearly this isn't about jesus.
. And Isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. On the side, Isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the government (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

David,

Why are you trying to stir up the Muslims in this forum?

Are you trying to reach folks with the Word of God?

What are you trying to get at with this posting?

When we slam or degrade others for their beliefs, it can push them further away from the truth.

We are told to spread the Good News. We are not told to brow beat others for the un-belief. The rest is up to God. Give Him room to be God.

God is still working miracles today! Let's not get in the way of that.

Grace...and peace!

the apostle paul was like a lot of us. he had to be hit upside the head with a 2 x 4 to get his attention. in his case the 2 x 4 was the blinding light that deprived him of his sight on the road to Damascus.

once the Lord got his attention, Paul spent the rest of his life spreading the gospel of Jesus, and I believe that he also spent the rest of his life trying to atone for his earlier life.

Paul was blasphemous. he destroyed the beautiful message of Jesus Christ (pbuh).

what about Mary, how old was she when she got pregnant? 12, yeah that's right.

the 9 years old thing is so stupid and you people keep repeating it over and over again, do you have any thing new to say?
