The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.

Of course, it is far better to exercise any time of day than not to exercise. Morning is just the optimal time if your schedule permits.

If you run before bed, you are less likely to get to sleep due to the adrenaline. They say the closest to bed time to run is about 4 hours before. I prefer to run first thing in the morning because it starts my day off good by getting the energy and blood flowing.

Both are great, but if you run before bed, the endorphins might keep you up at night. If you run in the morning, not only will you get the metabolism boost all day long, but you will be more likely to eat healthier all day long as well.

As you can see, the answers are as varied as the people that answer! Some people really like to exercise in the mornings, and some really love nights! We have classes going throughout the day and up till 7:00 at night, the same people come into the classes in the morning, and the same crowd at night. Try doing both, and see what works for you. What works for one body may not work for somebody else's body. You'll see which you like best, I have people who swear by both mornings and evenings!

You may have to run when it's most convenient for you to do so. If your schedule isn't a factor, then try running at either time and see how it works out for you. If you find running to be tiring (relaxing), you may want to run in the evenings. If, however, you find it to be invigorating then mornings are your time. Vigorous exercise doesn't have exactly the same effect on everyone.

Most recent research shows that from a weight loss perspective it doesn't matter when you run AS LONG AS you run. It depends upon your schedule and your temperment.

Most people feel more energized throughout the day when they start their day with cardio because of the endorphons released.

Me, personally, I prefer to do my cardio at night to rid myself of the days stress -

For most people working out in the afternoon does not inhibit sleep but it will depend upon your physiology

Running is like machine running. To maintanence a good machinery running, you should speed up step by step. So wake up is the pulse slow down. and running is the pulse speeding run. Both of them are not good for health. A morning walk then run then walk then stand for a while and sit down will be the best.

Running in the morning helps boost the days metabolism and helps to keep you energized. Running at night makes it harder to fall asleep sometimes because it gets your heart rate up and it is hard to fall asleep when your heart rate is up.
