I and others have posted obvious, over-the-top satirical/sarcastic questions and the sarcastically-deficient crowd always chimes in with literalism. How can we help them?

To answer how can we know the difference: if I say tht evolution says that feeding a giraffe something will result in a wooly mammoth with a Barry Manilow face or if I ask why is Barney the Dinosaur around if evolution is true, what friggin else do I need to do to tell people that it's COMPLETELY over-the-top?

There is hope. A Harvard medical scholar and a team of holistic physicians from Berkley have patented a remedy just for the satirically challenged. It's a proprietary herbal and mineral blend and the answer to the prayers of many. It's called Stimubrain.

Stimubrain is clinically proven to stimulate the brain's receptors to satire, wit and cures over-the-head jokes-itis. It works two ways: increasing blood flow to the brain, and stimulating the synapses to receive the messages "in-between the lines".

Look no further for a remedy to help that poor colleage who takes every pun literally, every joke seriously, and every story as a put down to them. Order Stimubrain today. You just may change your life, of the life of a loved one or friend. Order now!

Stimubrain vegecaps: 100ct.- $59.60 USD
Stimubrain tablets: 150 ct.- $44.75 USD

How are we supposed to detect sarcasm when there is no way to convey tone through the written word? If you choose to post questions that are "over the top" and get people's attention, you should be prepared for whatever response you receive. It sounds like you are expecting no response whatsoever to your posts, but the very idea of this board is to elicit responses.

ha ha ok Duh reading a question with inflection in it. It is expressionless. Be aware not everyone thinks like you. That would be like have only one type of flower in the world or only black and white no colour. Although alot of people do have the Baaa Baaa tendency. Variety is the spice of life. Are you stuck in a rut with your thinking? Maybe there is a vitamin to help you also.

I've noticed that it's easier to detect sarcasm, irony and satire from like-minded people. Maybe you should work on your style if you want to bridge the gap to people who don't think like you do.... Just a thought.

Hoping the best for you...

The stupidity of the human race never ceases to amaze me.

I've seen some of the most outrageous questions, including yours, answered with serious reaponses.

I don't know what we can do for those people.

Unfortunately there are people here who would ask the kind of questions you do, but be serious about it. How are we to know the difference?
