It is the sin of the day.. the one in the news. The one that is being contested in churches. Should churches be forced to allow their chosen ministers be gay, if it goes against their church doctrine?

My feeling is that it's the flavor of the times for the Evangelicals. They always have to have something to gnash their teeth over. In the past it's been desegregation, interracial marriage, and Hollywood. The only continual one is abortion, and you see how far that's gotten them. Today they can add stem cell research and same-sex marriage to that.
Homosexuality is especially appealing as a target because they get to try to use scripture to denounce it. Constitutional principles have never been and never will be their concern. They'd be just as happy to forgo that document and replace it with their Bibles, which ironically for them is something that sets off warning bells in most Americans minds. This, thankfully, has the opposite effect the Evangelicals desire. Moderate Americans tend to back away from fanaticism and make them rethink the issue. After all, if the fanatics are so vocal about it, then it warrants a second look by those more reasonable and level-headed. The result has been a growing acceptance and tolerance of homosexuality. Example? After the Foley scandal broke even some Republican political figures were eager to point out, and correctly so, that sexual orientation has nothing to do with the sickness of pedophilia.
They always have and always will eventually shoot themselves in the proverbial foot by employing the method of extreme proseltyizing to the masses about what is a sin and what isn't a sin. Most Americans resent being lectured about such things. It's insulting and condescending to lecture others as though they are in need of religious instruction.

I think there are a lot of things that man consider sins that are not necessary labelled as sins in the bible (i.e. drinking, dancing to secular music). I think it's sad that many believe homosexuality is something that can be prayed on, it isn't. It's a natural sexuality that God gave to certain ppl. God created homosexuality, you can either like it/hate it, agree w/ it or disown it, but the bottom line is that techinically there is no sin with homosexuality.

Because the sin of homosexuality is not only a sin against God but is also a sin against nature. Only the human can do this sin because by nature he is a sinner. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: There is no animal on the earth that don't know what sex they are male or female only humans. Romans 1: 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Romans 1: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

you're 17 years previous, bisexual and additionally you attend church each Sunday and additionally you're competely decepted. there's a hell regardless of in case you have not got self assurance it. Your perspectives of Christianity are so mixed up and it is not any ask your self that this international has long gone for the downhill spiral. and don't you dare tell a Christian that the Bible isn't a "rule e book" for Christianity! We study the Bible as component to our faith. Twisting issues around approximately what God says in His be conscious is blasphemy. in spite of what you have self assurance, it especially says in God's be conscious that homosexuality is immoral. God is a loving God to those that do as He says. He would not settle for all and sundry. God is likewise a vengeful God; he will deliver His wrath upon people who intentionally disobey Him. It handed off with the 1st actual guy and lady He created. "don't be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor training homosexuals nor thieves nor the grasping nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the dominion of God." (1Cor 6:9-10) Homosexuality is immoral behaviour, regardless of in case you like it or no longer. the only thank you to BE regularly used by using God is to stop the behaviour, make an apology and turn faraway from it thoroughly. era. by using the way, Christians are no longer proud!

The point is, it shouldn't be a subject of debate. We all sin. We should be, as Jesus states, looking to our own sin and NOT the sins of others.
People say they were born homosexual so it's natural and they should be free to pursue their homosexual lifestyle. Science has yet to find a gene that gives one homosexual tendancies so the belief is homosexuality is a learned behavior.
Babies are born every with defects. By the standards set out by the gay community we should leave them as they are. If they are dying, let them die. It's "natural." If they are siamese twins, leave them be, it's "natural."
I don't buy into that. But I also don't feel any need to bonk my gay friends over the head with my Christian Bat. I do feel the need to hang out with them, and love them.

That is a good question because a lot of Christian who condemn homosexuals don't realize that if they are having sex before marriage, they are in the same boat. It is all sexual sin, niether is greater.

I don't know why homosexuality should have to be debated by anybody who bases their beliefs on the bible, it could not be clearer on the subject! In an attempt to appease public opinion instead of appeasing god, many churches have made up reasons to tolerate it amongst their members or even condone it.
The following links are bible based and very clear

Because homosexuals refuse to admit that their lifestyle is sinful. Fornication is also sinful, as is adultery and spousal abuse, but heterosexuals refuse to admit it. Both sides are in the same sinking boat.
