I'm with you 100%. I pray that America turns back to the Christian nation it once was. If people who move here don't like it, they can move back.

This country was founded on the moral teachings of the Bible, but our founding fathers were Deists, not Christians, meaning they didn't believe in the miracles of the Bible, such as the virgin birth and creation. Where in the Bible does it say that any human form has God's Blessings. He even opposed the Israelites having a King.
As for having the ten commandments in schools and courthouses, for what reason? In over 200 years, right from the beginning, while promoting God's word, we have only gone down hill. The founding fathers were rich men who didn't want to pay a special tax that only affected them, so they got a bunch of poor farmers to fight for them. They kept slaves, slept around, and killed or ordered others to kill people.
The home is where these things should be taught, but parents are unwilling, or unable due to the failure of the churches, who also don't live by the commandments.

Actually FDR added "Under God" in the 1950's. This country was founded on freedom, if it was founded by religion then why was this written into the constitution:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"
- First Ammendment -
See how easily this argument falls apart? America is not a Christian nation, no matter how much you want to believe it is...

Actually it was founded on the seperation of church and state. This country was founded by people who were trying to ESCAPE a government that was controlled by religion. People will use God for whatever purpose serves their own goals. Sometimes religion and God has been used to murder/torture millions of people. Religion was created by man and that is why everyone argues over what the Bible really means.

No it was not. Under god was added in the 1950s. Think before you speak.
Hey, it is legal to break 8 out of 10 commandments (unless you are under oath) so argue that point.
I can give you a list of non christian and non religious founding fathers and presidents if you like too.

No, people want to make sure that everyone and anyone can practice whatever religion they want ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE - in schools, in government, etc. It's just that the school/govt can't endorse a particular practice by displaying a religion's symbiols (10 commandments) or by one of its representatives mandating practice (e.g. school prayer). The difference is VERY important to understand.

Then why don't they don't completely ban the 10 commandments?
Just imagine not keeping these commandments..
Thou shall not kill.
Thou shall not kill.
Honor thy father and Mother.
etc.
So lets completely ignore all the commandments and we'll see what world we would have.
