Well turtles can carry some diseases, I tihnk salmonella is one. Check into that first. If your dog licks the turtle there is no way to really decontaminate him. Check with your Vet first.

I know someone that got Salmonella she almost died and had a spleen removed. She didn't get it from a turtle, but regardless it can carry risks, only you can decide if it's worth it.

No,it won't make the pup sick ,but the pup could badly injure or kill the turtle if they are left alone.I have both dogs and turtles,but of course they are not kept together.You just have to use common sense.

go to the pet store to get a turtle and it will NOT get the puppy sick because our turtle did not get our dog sick.

if you forget to takecare you puppy, yes is bad idea.
