Hi there. Have you asked this guy to stop harrassing you? If you have asked him to stop and he keeps on persisting, then yes, I would consider taking it to the next step. In this day and age there are many more people who are violaent than lets say...5 years ago. I would first suggest the verbal request of asking him to stop. Poitely tell him that it is making you feel uncomfortable and you do not enjoy feeling this way. Has he ever been violent to you in the past (or even to others)? If all else fails, then I would call your local police department and explain the situation. They will guide you into making the best decision. Best of luck :o) If you ever need someone to vent out to, don't hesitate to write me anytime. Bye

Yes. Go to the police and file a report. In Alabama you have to take the report to the Magistrates office if you want charges filed. The police can tell you what you would need to do to get a restraining order. You can also get a protection order. I am not sure what the difference is though. I think it is that a Judge issues the protection order. That's what I have against my ex-husband. Good Luck. Be very aware of your surroundings.

You don't say how old you are so its hard to give specific advice.
First keep a diary and evidence -ie texts that he sent you and note every time he contacts you or follows you.
If you are at school, college or university I would recommend that you tell a teacher or welfare officer - often they may be able to deal with the situation - more quickly and cheaply than starting a formal legal situations.
If this doesn't work go to the police and then take it from there.
You are not alone in this situation - many many women are stalked by their exes but the majority get bored and move on fairly soon.

Ignore all his calls and emails. If you dont have a caller ID then get one. When his number,a private number or a number you dont know shows up on the caller ID do not answer it.As far as the email goes do not read them.Mark them as spam and you wont get no more from him.If you are answering the phone when he calls and emailing him back then you have to stop right now.

Block his e-mail. There is a way you can block people on cell phones I think you have to call the provider you have to do it, though. If he is physically stalking you, you can get a restraining order against him.

Make the complaint to the police. That way if more serious stuff starts happening down the road you can show a pattern and take legal action against this person.

keep a log on your ex b/f...write down all the information he keeps doing to you...you can block his emails and from there you can get the phone company to block his calls...as long as you have evidence on what he is doing to you...you can get a restraining order against him...

Yeah, go to the police if you feel threatened or herassed. Just don't regret it afterwards... It's annoying when people do that.
