I find that my hair isn't growing as fast as it used to. I'm aware that it could be many things; however, I would still like to know if prenatal vitamins would help. Thanks for your time :-)

if you are not pregnant prenatal vitamins will constipate you because its loaded with vitamins. if you want your hair to grow go to target, walmart, walgreens or someplace like that and buy centrum multi-vitamins in liquid form, costs about $8. I say the liquid because according to my personal trainer liquid vitamins are better than pill form because you end up just excreting the pills when you go to the bathroom because they take so long to break down and the liquid is just that liquid it goes directly into your blood stream and it will give you all the nutrients you need to make your hair and nails grow and your complexion beautiful. I say not to prenatal pills because I know from personal experience and when that happened to me my dr. told me why. here is a link to the vitamins. Online its more expensive than in the store.

I noticed within a couple of months of taking prenatals that my hair was growing pretty fast. I usually would get it cut every couple of months (sometimes every 3-4 months) but when I was pregnant I cut it every 4-6 weeks. I also noticed that my hair seemed healthier, and it was pretty shiny. The one major thing I noticed with taking prenatal vitamins, more so than my hair growth, was that my fingernails grew faster than they ever have. They were a whole lot stronger than usual, and I was able to grow them longer than I ever have, or ever have since. Hope that helps some! :)

yes.....

Hair loss or baldness is caused mainly due to the lack of Vitamin B supplements. Vitamin B5 contains pantothenic acid and B3 (niacin that is vital for hair growth). B6 is equally important to the body, as it contains the nutrients of zinc, sulfur, magnesium and biotin.

An interesting fact about Vitamin B: Certain experiments were conducted with rats and they were fed with food that lacked magnesium supplements. It was found that they lost their hair in bunches and when they were provided with a low biotin diet they turned hairless. But to the surprise of all, their hair returned when they were fed with food rich in Vitamin B. Similar studies were conducted on men and it was found that Vitamin B enriches the quality of hair. The body also requires Vitamin A. Fatty acids such as primrose oil, flaxseed oil or salmon oil need to be consumed for enhancing hair growth.

Vitamin E is meant for stimulating the oxygen intake in the body and improves the blood circulation. If there is proper blood circulation, hair growth is enhanced. Vitamin C assists the normal functioning of capillaries that carries the blood to the scalp. Even zinc is an important supplement, which should be consumed as it assists hair growth.

Biotin is necessary for hair growth. There are many sources of biotin such as brewer's yeast, brown rice, bulgur, green peas, lentils, oats, soybeans, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. It is present in some shampoos, so you can use shampoos, which contain biotin. It is advised to consult a physician before taking any vitamins or medications for hair growth.

Prenatal vitamins are formulated for a growing baby, not for nails and hair growth in non-pregnant women
If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.

Any vitamins do! Don't waist your money on prenatal, it's exactly same as any multi-vitamin (been there, done that). Check the boxes if you don't believe me! I take MSM (sulphur) and it's said to be just for your joints, but has made a huge difference in my hair.

Just start messaging your scalp with an excellent hair dressing that contains natural herbs and vitamins and you will see hair growth in a month. To add in hair growth our hair needs two things. Moisture and messaging the scalp. I use carrot Oil Cream or Olive Oil Cream or African Pride and messaged it into my scalp and hair and it's done wonders.
