My fiance seems to think it's roller blading.

Roller blading...You are usually in constant motion...you're not putting stress on your bones and ligaments like you do while running (running is punishing on the body). Next would be biking. If you alternate between the two of those that would be best and you will tend to not get so bored. Have fun burnin' that butter in whatever method you choose. :)

Might I suggest a fourth option? Try walking. Give up your car: You will save lots of money, look and feel much better, and lose that weight that concerns you. Walk for three or four miles every evening, at a fairly brisk pace. In addition to dropping unwanted pounds, your heart and lungs will benefit greatly. Your mind will also use your walking time to decompress from the day's activities. Walking has all the benfits of running without the damage that running brings to your feet, ankles, knees, and hips.
If your job is more than five miles from home use a combination of mass transit and walking or, better yet, find housing closer to your job. Most people cannot imagine life without an automobile but consider the savings with no car payment, no gas, no insurance, no parking hassles, no road rage. If your community does not have comfortable and frequent public transit work to improve it! Best wishes and good luck!!

All of them are good for weight loss. The best form I would recommend is running, biking, and walking.

Any type of exercise is good. At least 30 minutes evey other day and you can go longer or every day later if you want. But you also have to eat healthy.

What you are describing is not weight loss, it is exercise for weight loss. But running burns the most calories out of the three
