It is not a sin to be a Homosexual?

According to the scripture here:

Leviticus 18:22

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

It is not a sin to be a homosexual....

A strictly homosexual man does not lie with men as he does women.

A stronger statement would be that is a sin to be bi-sexual.....

If you will read the words and understand that
"thou shalt not lie" means if you are a homosexual you should not act on that desire. It is not a sin to be born a homosexual then to be born with one leg or a bad heart. It is the act that is an abomination. Are people born adulates? Adultery is also a sin.
No one is born with a right to have sex or a partner or children for that matter.
So tell the hate mongers that to be is ok ,to do is the sin.

You are twisting the Word of God; that will bring judgment from Him.

Sin any sin is an abomination to the living God.

Sin is a choice. Just because someone is attracted to someone of the same sex doesn't mean they have to act on it. It's called self-control.

The living God loves the sinner (He sent His Son to save us; not to condemn us) and hates the sin.

No, your right. Homosexuality is not a choice, but a chemical imbalance that cannot be corrected through medication or therapy. People don't choose to be gay. That would be like waking up in the morning and saying, "Oh wow, I think I will be a homosexual today. That way I can be ridculed and humiliated." Not to mention, the bible was only told and written through word-of-mouth. Over time stories are blown out of proportion and falsely represented as to how they once were. By religious standards, many religious leaders that I have spoken with have explained to me that the bible is a way to scare people straight through acts of violence in life.

I don't think a slippery, Clintonesque argument is the answer. Jewish, Christian, and Islamic scriptures condemn homosexuality. I think that's pretty clear. What bothers me is that they give no reason, or certainly not a reasonable one, for this condemnation. They simply say, it's bad because scripture says it's bad. But the truth is that homosexuality is natural--it has been observed in more than 1,500 animal species and is well documented in 500 of them--and it harms no one. To criminalize people who harm no one is immoral.

It IS a sin. The Bible says that men are to be joined to women. What this verse is saying is that men shouldn't be with other men in the same sense as they are with women.

NIV translation : 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable"

Not to forget that, of course, Jesus taught us to love everyone for who they are and not to judge people, because only God can do that. So if someone is trying to tell another person that they are doing something wrong by being homosexual, they're not following the Bible very well either!

That's ridiculous. It's an argument of semantics rather than meaning.

And without getting into the disgusting specifics, a man and woman are capable of the exact same behaviors, and you know it.
