Kids questions are all kinda the same old rhetoric about BF and GF, Some kids dont NEED to be reading some of our Q and A's, And we certainly dont need to be talking with other peoples kids here. If my son or daughter was on this site, I would explode.

Definitely.

They should have prefab answers that address the following issues:

1. If you think you are pregnant go see a doctor.
2. No, you cannot download full version games for free.
3. If he or she likes you they will tell you so, and if they don't notice you, too bad.
4. Do your own homework. A little help is ok but don't ask other people to "show their work". Find Google. Use it.
5. You cannot lose twenty pounds overnight
6. Be whatever the hell you want to be for Halloween
7. So your friend is mad at you. Get over it.

Yahoo Answers Retards

It's a good idea, yeah. That way you could also separate things like homework help into 'what does a clock do' type questions and 'what is the theorem related to the weight of tomato sauce in relation to the quantum spatial lunar landing' or whatever.

I think there would be some concerns about pedophiles and stuff though - it would be like a giant cyber-playground to them.

It's a nice idea, but twisted adults will go on the site pretending to be kids, just like kids come on this site pretending to be adults.
But really, if Yahoo Answers is the worst site your kids ever got on to, I would consider you lucky! There's alot worse out there!

How about cleaning up the garbage that's already here, rather then trying to get a new 'kid friendly' site going?

As a prolific time waster yourself, you might want to give this some thought.

I totally agree with you. Some of the questions the kids ask are just silly, and you dont want them reading questions that adults ask.

yes I think they should and make this one for adults or at least 16 or so. to much is said about things younger kids should not see IMHO. I won't let my 12 year old use this site at all.

Not a bad idea.

I also sometimes wish there were two separate forums - one, all menstruation questions, the other, everything else.

Sorry, just a pet peeve.

I never knew how women lived with those things.

We are each responsible for knowing what our kids are doing, not Yahoo:)

Edit: aquaakerman makes a great point. it would become a big draw for pedophiles. There is no substitute for parental supervision.

What a great idea.
I am a firm believer in parental controls and knowing what your kids are up too as well!
