have you tried getting scholarships? that really is the best way... because taking outside scholarships are VERY expensive (high interest rates & they dont give you a grace period to pay them back).... if you need more info (i am college graduate and currently in grad school) you can email me.... goodluck

you are suppose to be eligible for loans if you receive pell grant, I attend a state university and I'm not sure how different it is from private schools (I'm guessing), but you might want talk with your financial aid department because if you receive pell you are eligible for alot more. If they don't help you you might want to get on the FAFSA website and call their 1-800 number and discuss your issue with them because they determine what you are eligible for, I live in Florida so I'm not sure where you are located, but that is a start i hope. Good luck.

talk to your financial aid department. they should help you try and fix this. Or try and talk to the counselors. Try getting another, better paying job. My first two years of college, I had to work two jobs to pay for everything. It's harder, but in the end, you'll feel good about yourself for all of the hard work. Even though you don't think you could qualify for a loan, go ahead and ask the banks and apply for one. You never know, you might be able to qualify for one. hope this helps! and Good Luck to you.

I just started college and I applied for a student loan I told my counselor that I did not have good credit She told me that it dose not go by credit. So, I applied at Wells Fargo they are waiting for the school to send them the cost for me to go. I did get pre-approved too. Hope this helps!
