Full name: Nikolay Aleksandrovich Romanov
Was not able to manage his country, Russia, well and was subsequently executed by the Bolsheviks along with his family. He gave the order to mobilize troops in the fight against the German army in 1914 which eventually led to the beginning of WW1. An unprepared Russia found difficulties on the international front wrt the war and also domestically since the country despised his wife..who ironically was German. Nicholas and his family were dethroned and thus killed on July 17th 1918

I think he is most known for being executed, along with his family during Russian revolution. Also related to royal family of England and was a good pr man but not a serious leader
