Since the arguement in favor of Atheism is, "The belief in God isn't logical." Define logic. Isn't logic based on what you believe to be true based on your experiences? So because I have had different experiences than you, doesn't logic change? My belief in God is based on my experiences. Perhaps Atheists have had the same experiences as I have, but because their mind was not open to also have a spritual experience, they didn't. And because they didn't, or possibly didn't understand what they were feeling/experiencing, they closed themselves off a little more from having, feeling and understanding a spiritual experience the next time. So, my question is, what is logic and is it a fluid concept or is it a concrete concept?

I appreciate the definition, but I don't see anything resembling a requirement that it be verifiable.

JP, look for another question from me based on your answer.

Logic is what means sense and reason to YOU. If to you, it is logical to have a spiritual experience, then no one can take that away from you. If to me, it is logical to disbelieve all such thing as nonsence, then I will not have that experience. Just like no one who does not believe in ghost or magic have ever seen a ghost or a real magic trick. You don't fall for things that are not logical to you.

log‧ic
1. the science that investigates the principles governing correct or reliable inference.
2. a particular method of reasoning or argumentation: We were unable to follow his logic.
3. the system or principles of reasoning applicable to any branch of knowledge or study.
4. reason or sound judgment, as in utterances or actions: There wasn't much logic in her move.
5. convincing forcefulness; inexorable truth or persuasiveness: the irresistible logic of the facts.

It doesn't seem very fluid to me. There are quite definitive rules regarding logical examinations of things, just like there are for science and math.

"Isn't logic based on what you believe to be true based on your experiences?" No, it isn't. It is based on what is verifiably true.

I am an atheist and I've had plenty of spiritual experiences, including an NDE and multipe OBEs, mostly involving Fenrir Wolf of Norse mythology. Not only that, I started as a Christian and have felt the love of Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit. So please don't say I've closed myself off, I simply understand things better with more knowledge. Knowledge is a good thing, you should try it sometime.

As far as a definition of Logic, do your own dang research:

The argument in favour of (weak) atheism is that there are no proofs that confirm beyond doubt the existence of God or Gods so it is correct to disbelieve in the proposition that they exist. It is therefore the default position and requires no logical justification.

Acording to apocrates, Logic is the "Organon" (Machine) or (mechanism) which makes everything move or something,

Logic has two rules:

1) the rule of contradiction i.e: i can't be alive and dead at the same time

2) no third possibility i.e: i am either alive or dead, no other possibility.

ofcourse there are some exceptions, like baldness, because the term "Bald" differs from one person to another.

If A = B
and B = C
then A = C.
That's logic.
