I have anxiety/and or panic attacks everyday now.... I havent been able to go to work since saturday because of this. It is not going away I have had this anxiety for a couple of months now. I was on Avitan and then Klonopin but my scripts have run out. I cant do anything, I am so withdrawn now, Im worried that I am gonna get fired. I just sit inside me house all day now and have terrible anxiety. I feel like I have no hope, and that I am lost. I feel like I am dying every day. I think often that I am having a nervous breakdown and that I should check myself into a hospital, but I dont have insurance or the money for that. I cant sleep and all I do is worry 24/7 now. Please help me someone.

Dear, you need to find the underlying cause of the anxiety. I understand that money is an issue, but your health is of much greater importance. ALL Doctors are required to treat a patient even if they have an inability to pay. There are acts such as Hill-Burton which help lower income people pay for their medical treatment. Try checking this out and I wish you the best of luck. Know that I will be praying for you.

Dentists and doctors use distraction techniques frequently to distract the patient from a physical discomfort they may be experiencing, by giving them something else to focus on (usually the bill).

The purpose of using distraction, for people who want to live anxiety free, is to have new experiences that take the person’s mind off the anxious feelings they have been experiencing.

If you imagine that all the fearful anxious thoughts that go through your mind are like a roll of film being run through a film projector (your mind) and out into your life. Concentrating on some activity immediately cuts the film and brings you directly into the here and now.

When you are fully engaged with life there is no room for any anxiety disorder. This mental space you create enables both your body and mind time to become less sensitized to the anxiety.

Go back to your Dr.. Many times anxiety attacks happen when people are depressed. It is one of the signs. I had them for years and was on ativan but have had non at all in five years . Have been on an antidepressant. I have a good friend that this also happened to and she said in no way was she depressed. He Dr. put her on an antidepressant and she no longer has anxiety attacks.

Well, this is simple. You have to go back to the doctor and try something else. You also need therapy--medications will only do so much. You have to find the cause for your anxiety and panic attacks. When you do, you will be able to fix it.

Remember, too....stopping medications like Ativan and Klonopin can cause rebound anxiety. Please call your doctor.

I didn't read through all the answers....so i don't know if this suggestions been made....but many community's have psychiatric help and prescriptions where payment is based on a sliding scale. So if you're broke, check it out. Definitely try to get out and take walks. Buy a cheap disc-man and pop in a good CD and take nice long walks by yourself.

i work in a hospital and i'm also an EMT. In our hospital, (and i would assume in every hospital), we have what we call a charity/financial form, and that's a form for people to fill out who currently just lost their ins, have been denied medicaid and have no other source of ins or income, people who have the money to pay only a small monthly bill, or people who are to be billed as "self-pay" who don't have any ins at all. if a pt is truly in need of care, and truly does not have a means to pay, the pt's care is obviously much more important at that time. i would advise you to go ahead and go and let the money be the last thing on your mind. i see many pts who come in with anxiety/depression/bipolar disorder.....there is hope for them, and there is hope for you!! you just have to step out and receive it!! things will get better, but you will have to be the one to make the first step, there's no shame or blame in wanting help....good luck to you...hang in there!!!

Why do you feel like this? There must be a root of this problem...once you know what is causing you to feel so anxious all the time, it will help find a solution to the problem

Do you have any confidantes, like friends or relatives you can talk to? I know that psychologists are expensive, but sometimes talking can b more effective than any form of medicine

Try to keep your mind busy, and get out of the house to go to the gym or join a yoga or karate club....it can help you not to think about suicidal and depressing thoughts

If you cant sleep, then you can buy pills for that, or check the internet for some sleep inducing drinks (like Horlicks)...and if you do something active, you will get physically tired, and your body and mind will start to crave sleep

Please dont feel like dying everyday: life is a beautiful gift, and its such a precious thing....trying stupid things like suicide or self-inflicting pain are the cowards way out, and you are braver than that

You need to go to the doctor. Go to the emergency room..they are not allowed to send you away for lack of medical insurance. Anxiety can lead to a heart attack so you are justified in going to the emergency room.
