If you're in the UK visit the NHS website or type in respiratory disease on google and you'll come up with loads of stuff including links for symptoms, or failing that visit www.asthma.org.uk who might be able to help.

There are so many respiratory diseases out there. Asthma, cancer, black lung, asbestosis, this list can go on. The easiest to do and with the most information would probably be either black lung or asbestosis (az best oh sis). Black lung is from breathing in coal dust in coal mines, asbestosis is from working and inhaling the particles from the insulation called asbestosis. There should be lots of statistics and tons of information. I hope this helps.

check out asthma UK website - they have bits of info. they also have details of research they have funded looking exactly at people coping/living with asthma etc. you can get in touch with some of the lovely researchers on one of those projects who might be will to help you out.

also, start with a more general area of living with chronic illness - loads of lit. available on that.

i think it sounds like a really interesting title - you might just find you enjoy the research!
