Sometimes guys are hard headed and you might have to go to the extreme to the point of embarassing him to leave you alone. But continue to ignore him and give him the feeling that he is definately not in your plans

Why not give the guy a chance & be friends? Just because he walks you to lunch doesn't mean he's asking you to marry him or have his kids or anything major like that! Who knows, you might cultivate a really great friendship - and besides, what does it hurt to be nice? I had a lot of really terrific friends in high school that were exactly like what you've described. That's been a long time ago, but every now & then I'll see one & we'll talk about the good old days & every one of them has thanked me for being such a great friend to them in school. Every single one. It's a nice feeling, believe me. Try it - you might be surprised.

u can avoid him and just be really distant every time he comes near u say u have to do something or go somewhere and if u see someone u know just politely excuse urself and interact with them but don't hurt his feelings and be rude after a while he should pick up on the way ur acting or point blank pull him to the side and ask him why is he walking u to lunch if he says he likes u then say i think ur nice but i'm not interested and it's not necessary for him to walk u to lunch

Overlook him and act as though he's not even there. I wouldn't even acknowledge him or say thanks because that will just give him more fuel to keep hanging around. You don't have to say anything, let your actions speak for you. Act as though he is invisible. He will get tired of you ignoring him, and will eventually decide to just go away. It might hurt his feelings at first but if you really don't want to be bothered by him, you have to find ways to avoid him.

you could take out a full page ad in the local paper, try a billboard, maybe skywriting, or one of those compressed air horns will get his attention
