Genetics definitely plays into your question but so does socialization. The only thing that fundamentally separates the genders is hormonal based. Hormones have a very specific task to perform and that task has zero to do with human feeling. Consequently, I think how a male child and a female child are socialized will have a greater impact on their ability to connect with their feelings than their genetics would.
Human spirituality also has zero to do with logic. It is an innate ability to connect on a fundamental level to life, along with an innate ability to transcend it. Yes, it certainly creates "feelings" but recent research into human genetics has found that there is a "faith gene." Those with it will naturally gravitate towards some form of spirituality. Those without it, simply do not get it on any level. In a way, it could be described as being "spiritually color blind." Further...
As we are speaking about genetics with regard to spirituality, it would be an interesting statistical study to take a large sample of men and women and see who is spiritual and who is not. If it is purely genetic, the results should be the same or at least similar with each gender having basically the same number of spiritual and non spiritual people in it. Consequently...
I think you might have the cart before the horse. Spirituality creates feeling. Feeling, in and of itself, does not create a spiritual nature.

At first, I found your question intriguing. Then you threw in the spirituality aspect in there, and shot that all to hell. Because I was going to say that women have this thing called intuition, that MOST men don't have. It's like a 6th sense, of sorts. The whole 'eyes in the back of their heads' theory. But when you add spirituality to the mix, it just throws that whole deal out the window. The spirit that is attained by religion, comes from within ones self. Male and females alike, have to work to attain this. It just doesn't magical appear. You have to read the bible with an open mind, educate yourself, have personal devotions, and pray. It is attained by having faith. Faith in the word of God and applying the bibles principles to your life. It has very little with men being womanlike. But an interesting question, to say the least!!

there is a difference between feelings and intuition. Women are more "psychic" and its not always emotions but a 6th sense that can lead direction. The world is made up of both logic and emotion so i think you need a good balance of both to make a good assessment of whether or not to believe. But there are always other influenses at work, such as how you were raised, and your willingness to forgive others and accept forgiveness as well. There are so many possibilities and reasons for spirituality, and i dont think it has a lot to do with gender.

Hi, I am a christian woman. I am also the kind of woman that is not so girly thinking, I kind of meet halfway. My faith is a feeling but also logic. Seriously, look at a tornado, a rainbow. child birth, ect ect.....Can you really not see that something great and beyond our comprehension, has got to be out there? The Big Bang theory? Please. Nothing exploded and everything came. I don't believe that. Chat with your wife or better yet if you have a christian guy friend that you respect as a guy, ask him, in a manly kind of way LOL! I hope you find what you are looking for.

This brings us back to my earlier point. Love, justice and wisdom must be balanced in any action or decision to be correct. Women principally have the sensitivity, feelings, love, etc and men principally have the logic. (Either side can have some of both, but I'm generalizing here) This is why the union of one man and one woman is the best family unit. If both have input into decisions, the outcome will usually be better.

I see the point, Your on the right track I think. I do believe, and I feel; I've cultivated this; it's how I wish to live my life. I've lived it by thinking my way through life and I've been able to make the shift. The gender thing isn't really the issue to me, it's the path to oblivion or something that makes it worthwhile pursuing; the journey is the reward to me; it's the knowing that the moment is at hand in each moment I am. I would rather feel, than think at this phase in life; it's more enjoyable to me; and it opens the window on so many things that can not be thought; but felt..

Both can be misleading. Usually faith comes from a lot of differant directions and adds up to belief. In my life logic led me to GOD,, really. The most simple logic would be that if we die we just lay in the ground and rot. But then what is differance between life and death? What animates the flesh and so on. GOD will use whatever you have wherever you are to reveal himself to you.
May GOD richly bless you.
But not to much it looks like you got enough gold already.

yes it is true that women are more feeling based and men are more logic based...but i don't believe that just because a man choses to believe in God that he is woman like!!! He just understands that there is a God out there that loved him enough to die for him. Maybe you should actually listen to what your wife has to say.....and not just pretend to listen and ignore it all!!!!

some women base there spiritual on the experiences that they have witness in there lives and but not on feeling but on what God has done for them.
I am more spiritual in my mature than my husband. You can't base every thing on feelings but what has really happen to you by faith and how much your faith is.
