I am making a tiered cake and dont want to go buy a tiny pan for the top layer but I have a stainless steel sauce pan that is the perfect size does anyone know if this will work?

If it's all metal (obviously) it will work, but it might affect the baking time as it's thicker metal and will conduct more heat.

you would be better off using a small round pyrex type of dish (anything thats oven proof) cause more than likely the handle of the sauce pan will melt (unless its all stainless steel)
