I do not want any points for this answer, I just wanted to tell you that Robin P's answer is a very good choice for a recipe that is extremely easy and tastes wonderful, that is a combination that is hard to beat. I just thought that you needed more information on how to prepare it.

Easy Peach Cobbler

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 cup milk
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 (15-16 oz.) can peaches (Light or Regular syrup)

Melt butter in bottom of 9 inch cake pan (round or square). Mix flour and sugar; add milk and mix until smooth. Pour into pan with butter. Pour can of peaches on top of the batter (juice and all). Bake at 375 until golden brown and center is firm (40 - 45 minutes). When almost done I like to put some Sugar and Cinnamon on the top and finish cooking.

This will be the best peach cobbler you can make and so easy. Only mess up two pans.

Now you know that a scoop or two of Vanilla Ice cream would do just nicely on top of the hot Peach cobbler.

Years ago I got a recipe off a Bisquick box. It was very fast, easy and great tasting too.

1 cup Bisquick
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk

Mix all three and pour in a greased or buttered baking dish or pan.
Pour 1 cup canned peaches over the top. Add a bout 1 tablespoon butter or margarine (doesn't have to be melted, just broken in small pieces )on the top and bake at 350 degrees until it browns on top. (about 20 minutes) (the fruit will go to the bottom)

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
sugar, about 1/4 cup, divided
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk
3 1/2 cups sliced peaches (one large can, 28 to 32 ounces, drained)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon butter
1 cup sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Sift flour into bowl with baking powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon of the sugar. With pastry blender, cut in shortening until crumbs are fine. Add milk to make a soft dough. Combine sliced peaches with lemon juice, 2 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon, and butter in a casserole or baking dish. Pat out dough to fit over the top of peaches; vent to allow steam to escape. Bake in 450° oven for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350° and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream, ice cream, or light cream with a little sugar and nutmeg to flavor. Serves 8.
