I am getting married this Sunday and I can't decide on a song for my father and I to dance to. I am thinking about I loved Her First by Heartland, but I think it might be too sad and I will hyperventilate during our dance, Can any of you think of a song that is not a compete tear jerker?

Honestly I think its just an excuse to spend a lot, I personily wouldnt spend that much a wedding when you could buy a house with that money and have a small wedding with your family and friends and a party after but it is a huge day alot of cultures take it really seriously and if you have the money why not right? The wedding industry is really expensive too though, everything has its cost so alot of the time they are spending more then they even wanted to spend (the average cost of a wedding right now is $30,000), most times they go into planing the wedding with really big ideas and how they want the wedding but they never really knew what the costs where before...So they have this image in their heads that they have to have and before they know it they are over budget all because their wedding cant be a small affair it has to be memorable to everyone that attended and it has to be different. Lol Im going to be a wedding planner so I had to look at costs of everything and it all adds up quick, but honestly its all worth it because at the end of the day its not going to matter you'l be happy and everything will all work out.

There are a lot of good songs try When Angels Fly performed by Tony Ransom & The Light Orchestra. You can go to WedAlert.Com on the internete they have a great music selection part for father bride suggestions and more, or type in top 10 father bride dances but it does not give you as good of a selection. Well, there's that one country song called "There Goes My Life," about the dad and the little girl who grows up. A tearjerker, but not nearly as sad as "I Loved Her First." Have you heard that other one about 'When tough little boys grow up to be dads, they turn into big babies again?' That's good. Sorry, I don't know who those songs are by. What about "My Girl," by the Temptations? I always think of that as a father/daughter song ever since they used it in the Father of the Bride movie. Congrats on your big day, by the way!

How about "Do I make you Proud" by Taylor Hicks. I love the song and think it would be a great father daughter dance!! Hope this helps.

The heartland song I would so use cuz its right on the money but if you dont want to use that one Daddys Hands. My dad and I are really close thats why Id use the Heartland

My dad and I danced to "The Way You Looked Tonight." It is fun, yet endearing. Not a tear jerker for us, but for everyone else it seemed to be.
