Unfortunately your going to get all kinds of bizarre answers in a format like this one. Because it's annonomous people don't care what they write to you. Don't get side tracked because there are people out there like myself that try to take this as serious as possible. Just skip over the rude answers and focus on the good ones.
I don't think I got the chance to offer my 2 cents on your initial question. I'm a member and arranger for a praise band at our church. So, that is an important aspect of the service for me as well. Don't place to much value on it though. The truest value needs to be on the teachings provided by the preacher. Although I wouldn't want to go to a church that constantly harps about the devil, it is a subject that should be addressed from time to time. Remember, we are in the middle of spiritual warfair. A good church to me is one that has great praise and worship and a preacher that give sermons based on the Bible. You need to visit the churches in your area and find one that meets these standards. One church to another in the same denomination can have totally different approaches to service. The only way to know for sure is visit them.
Again, remember, this church that you are looking for is responsible for feeding your spiritual needs. Make sure it's a church that is Bible based and has doctrine that follows the literal word of the Bible.

daisy, I will admit that from time to time I will respond to a really smarta** question in kind. I did read your question and you did not deserve the smarta** answers that you got. I do not think that you can have church without mention of the devil and his demons. You need to be prepared to stand firm in your beliefs against him. I am a United Methodist, someone suggested that you go to a UM church. We do have praise and worship, we do tend to be more open minded about some things, but we do have sermons on the devil and evil. I think you really have more of a problem with the preachers that wave the Bible around and jump up and scream and holler at you that you are going to hell. I understand how you feel I don't like it either. You can find a church where you have praise and worship and you can learn from a pastor who can get his point across and teach you in a kind, loving way. Good luck hon.

I didn't see your other question so I am sorry I did not answer. I wish I could apologize for other "Christians", but they are most likely not real Christians (and if they are they are ignorant of their belief and why they believe it).
To answer your question, you are seeking a positive praise church (Bible based of course) not a "turn or burn" church.
I have noticed a generation of new believers who have changed the church to focus on Christ, not on death. I have been to Southern Baptist, Penecostal, Christian, and Non-denominational churchs that are taking this approach. This is the movement of our generation. We don't go to church because our parents did. We are Christians because we love God and we know we are saved by Christ, not our own works.
Most of the churchs you seek are similar to Hillsong Church in Australia. (I plan to vist there soon, seems like a great church).
Keep looking in your comminity. You will most likely find Penecostal or Non Denominational churchs using this modern day setting. These are fun, colorful, God loving churchs who are getting back to the heart of Christianity. If you notice churchs in your area that are really getting involved in the comminity and have a growing attendance, you might check them out.
Steer clear though, of LDS or Kingdom Hall curchs. Make sure they teach from the Bible, not another book. Make sure you test what any pastor says in light of scripture. Take notes and read the verses mentioned in your own time later to make sure that what a pastor says is truth and not contradictory to the Bible.
I will pray that you can find a good curch that has a heart for worship.
God bless.

HOW DARE YOU SAY IM BEING MEAN>> YOU >>YOU QUESTIN ASKERER!!! he he he. The real answer is that there is a large amount of leading and loaded questions that are not questions but simple set ups so that when the people answer they get attacked. It is sort of a Yahoo Answer word game. I think people assumed you were doing the same thing. To answer your original question there are thousands of seeker friendly churches that do not even mention hell or the devil. You should have little trouble finding one.
May GOD richly bless you.

satan is the prince of this earth and satan dominates this mortal earth... Those of God are in constant battle against the forces of evil... if all you want is a touchy feely all fussy wussy "religion" then there are any number of them out there... but they have nothing to do with The God who is the creator of this universe and all that man knows or ever will know... satan is the enemy of God and will do whatever he can personaly, and through his forces of evil, to deceive as many as he can to keep them from God... ALL of The True Christian Faith must know who the enemy is and how to resist him here on this earth... and how to tell others of the danger that is from satan and the very real threat to the immortal souls of all who inhabit this mortal world...Praise God? yes...in all things... But put on the Full Armor of God ( His Word) and be prepaired to resist satan at all times... this can only be done by teaching and learning about the enemy we face daily...

unfortunately, there are many people who call themselves christian but don't practice its teachings outright. you should choose a church where you feel most comfortable in, and can accept their beliefs as yours, with out doubt or shame. there are many sects within christianity that ultimately have the same teaching, ie to love and spread love, but have different views on the history of the Curch, and God as we know it. Personally, i am a Roman Catholic, and i have good friends who are Greek, and Egyptian Orthodox, and some who are Born Again Christians.
you just have to sift through them all until you find the right one for you.

The meek shall inherit the Earth, but by that time who will want it?
just kidding.
I think those who attack you for asking a question are those whose faith is weak. So weak that they fear any questions or opinions that might challenge their shaky faith. Those with strong faith are secure, calm, peaceful, loving, and fear no question or challenge. Those with weak faith are full of fear, hatred, anger, insecurity, sort of like our current administration, ha.

By "mean" do you mean "disagree with you"?
And I'd check the spelling on "worshipping". What you've got here has a whole 'nother connotation.
Later: Oh, I take this back (but I'll leave it up here as a lesson to myself). I looked at your question, and you're right: they were unnecessarily rude.
