Actually, the book "1776" by Hugh McCullough has a reasonable and easy-to-read account of what was happening in the British Parliament at that time. The book mostly focuses on George Washington but it very nicely covered political activities in England. I highly recommend "1776" as an interesting and entertaining book.

King George was on the throne. The sun Did not set on the British Empire. And there were some problems with malcontents in the colonies on the American continent. Some Chap wrote this declaration of Independance and several represenatives signed off on it. hmm wonder what they are going to do about it?
