Yes you may still love him but you should try to put it aside. He's a big boy and should be able to take care of himself, if not then he should see a therapist, not you. You shouldn't consider yourself to be the origin of others problems. He has a girlfriend and she's the one who should help him now. Try to do activities you enjoyed with your ex with your new boyfriend, you should find stuff you enjoy doing more with him.

You are still attached to him, but that doesn't mean you still love him. We never really know what we have until it's gone, and it looks like you've just learned that lesson. But the fact is, is that you aren't with him now. Unless he is still interested in you, it's probably time to move on. After a breakup, alot of people go through a time where they still feel attached, because they were so close to that person, and now they aren't there anymore. This is normal. Sometimes it goes away quickly. Sometimes it takes a while, even months, occasionally even years. But you can get over it quicker by doing things to take you mind off him. Think aobut your current boyfriend, and the good things you have in him. Work on the relationship you have now, or else you might loose him too, and find yourself missing him just as much.

Often people fondly remember their former lovers. But the tendency is to remember the good things and not think about the issues which may have caused you two to drift apart. And, some people just take longer to get over a relationship than others. Give it time...but don't let the lingering memories mess up your new relationship or you may end up worrying about two past lovers.
