Well there's love and there's LUST. Sometimes the two get mixed up, where someone thinks they are IN lOVE, when in fact it's just lust.

There's no time limit as to when you feel positive emotions to or from someone, but love comes in more forms than just with lover. You can love your pet, your family your job. it's the same positive energy, just in a different form.

I'd say probably a good month or two and you have a pretty good idea of how feel about someone. Just make sure that you and or him have a good handle on the yucky stuff like anger and anxiety. If you don't know how to individuallly handle those things, it can get pretty messy, pretty quick if you are both dumping these energy's inside each other's boundary.

there are 3 types of love...
eros- wich is a love like a husband and wife...
philos- like a brother or close friend (guinuine concern)
general- the love you should have for everone...just resect.

lots of times when people meet they think their in love...however ususally they are only controled emotionaly.
so make sure love is really love not just inflactuation

you may be asking well what is love?
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

the right time to say "i love you" is when you really do...not just think you do...i think that phrase is the most overly used phrase in the history of mankind!!
so many people use it...but only a few truly mean it....

I told the woman I love that I love her the day after we both confessed we had feelings for each other! But you should NEVER say 'I love you' lightly. I knew what I meant when I was saying it, and I knew what i was getting myself into~

Love is not a mere feeling (though it can produce feelings, like strong affection). Love is a choice, and action, a state of mind, and a commitment. Love, real love, is selflessly giving of yourself to someone else in kindness and patience. It is putting that person before yourself consistantly and completely. Love is a sacrifice. It's not about what you feel, or how good that person makes you feel. It's about you wanting to make that person happy, wanting to give of yourself to that person, and resolving to stick with that person no matter what you feel, whether good or bad, and regardless of whether good times or bad times are in your future.

You can say "I love you" the day you start dating someone, or it might be years down the road. But the right time to say it, is when you can say it and mean it. When you can say "I love you" to someone, and mean everything above, from both your heart and your mind, towards them... then it's the right time.

P.S.~ Paul, very very good answer.

Love is when someone will listen to you and not ignore you. Someone that will hold you in their arms during rough times. The right time to say I love you in a relationship is when you really feel it.
Good Luck!

Love is the ability to be completely open, honest and vulnerable with another person, trusting them completely and always striving to make them happy. It's not a matter of time passing, a mere convention or protocol. It is a level of emotional strength in a relationship.

As a young teen- puppy love, older - hormones, true love-- the best of all -physical attraction, compatibility, trust, gentleness, kindness, and compassion. Not necessarily in that order.

I believe that you have to get to know someone before you say that you love him/her. I don't believe in love at first sight cause it is actually lust at first sight. You can't love someone without really knowing that person.

love has a different meaning for everyone. and I love can be different when you say it to different people. Love is that good place or that warm feeling.

You have to decide when to say it when it is in your heart.
