I have been abnormally hungry, it's like I'm starving for food but I'm NOT, I feel that way even just a while after eating... for the last few days. Mostly I have been hungry for meat and starchy veggies (potatoes)...mostly meat though. Is there anything that can be causing this? I know I'm not pregnant. I'm not working out/exercising more than usual...except last Sat. I pushed my swimming workout pretty hard. Nothing for the last few days though. My husband says my diet must be missing something and my appetite is reflecting that???
Oh and yeah I eat healthy 95% of the time, not too much not too little, a mixture of all the food groups. I've never been this hungry even when I was pregnant. Any Ideas? Because It needs to go away ASAP! Thanks!

I get like this when the weather changes. With it just turning chilly and autumnal over here I have been starving for the last week, possibly the remains of some very basic animalistic urge to get some insulation for the winter.

Do you suffer from migraines? The hunger pangs could be the early sign of a migraine coming on possibly in a couple of days.

Certainly it's not pregnancy. It could be the swimming since you were having a consistent diet, and suddenly you consumed a lot of energy. It will be over in a few more days. Btw, besides maintaining a consistent healthy diet, you should also consider maintaining a consistent work-out. After a sudden push-to-the-limit workout, gradually decrease your limits back to normal for the next few days.

You may be lacking in Vit B12 which comes from meat. I suggest you go ahead and eat what you are craving for awhile and see what happens. Your body is telling you you need meat and starchy veggies so go ahead and eat.

If this continues for more than a month then it's time for a checkup.

I know what you mean. I also had this minor problem, nothing to worry, though. The best thing to do is eat candy ( but not too much, just a piece of chocolate, or a bubble gum), it will keep you OK...Or you can drink much water, it will keep your stomach full for a few hours...
Try it, it helped me...

I know just before I get the flu I cannot eat enough, and I am not a big eater normally at all. So maybe go heavy on the vitamin C?

It could be that you just have a good appetite, just to be on the safe side go get a checkup at the docter.
