buy a wiring harness adapter to plug your factory wires into your new aftermarket cd player. that when when u sell the car you just unplug the harness and take your aftermarket cd player out and put back your old one and plug it right into the factory wires.

you can get the wiring harness adapter at any best buy, circuit city, crutchfield magazine or ebay for probably 10-20 bucks

it is worth it. makes it so much easier

good luck

THis is an easier install. You 'll need to get a set of ford radio removal tools. Go to a stereo shop and ask them to pop it out for you or buy a set. The opening should be the same size as your new radio. You will need to buy a harness from a stereo shop that will plug into the mazda. This will make life a whole lot easier. You should be able to match the colors from your new radio harness to the harness you purchased that plugs into your mazda. I reccomend asking someone who has done this to supervise you or give you some tips. its really not that hard.

When I installed mine, I used the manuals to cross reference the wires. You will need wire cutters, wire insulators, and wire crimpers to attach the existing car wires to the new head unit. If this sounds like a pain, there is always the option of ordering a wiring harness for your model stereo and car from Crutchfield. They make custom wiring harnesses for around $15-$20. Hope this helps.

Depending on the brand you buy, you may need to get a harness kit and cut your dash or fill up holes. Some vehicles wiring is more difficult than others as well.

I'd go to a store that will sell and install for you.

I've never done it myself but when i bought one from Circuit City it came with a detailed instruction manual. They also did it for free and I just had to pay a little $ for the wiring and parts.

i would go to www.crutchfield.com

you enter what car you have, then they give you choices of stereos that will fit in your car.

once you purchase the correct piece of equipment, and it arrives in the mail, it will have included all the custom parts that you need to install it, along with custom instructions designed specifically for you car.

its very easy, and they are so helpful.
