are you on a diet???
So, what is the best low carb alcoholic drink to choose? Well, if you have decided you will be heading out for a fun night and want to watch those carbs and calories, then your best bet is any hard liquor and diet soda. Here are a few possible drinks you can enjoy:
Bacardi Rum and Diet Coke
Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Rum and Diet Coke
Absolute Vodka and Crystal Light
Grey Goose and Sugar Free Tonic
Ketel One and Diet 7-Up

Well I do agree with mimi harder is better! My dog and I prefer spiced rum and diet caffeine free Pepsi. I think if you can slowly introduce it to him with his beer I think he will take to it nicely then you can ween him off the beer. I cant even imagine trying to find a low carb beer to replace Guinness. I would have to say it would be near impossible! However if he cant take to the rum or whiskey I would probably have to suggest that you start him on meth. It is the best weight loss program out there!

Miller Beer.....
most spirits are zero carbs. You need to be aware that the alcohol will get to the brain very quickly when it hasn't got to fight through a fog of carbohydrate molecules in the blood. This means you will get drunk quicker and on less. Also drink even more water than usual to prevent the dehydration effects of alcohol.

Spirits are mostly low in carbs (Rum, vodka, tequila, cognac, etc..).
Obviously, not everyone likes them straight, so what you can do is mix them with a diet coke (or pepsi) or 7up.
Wine is also low fat / low carb. So is champagne. If you don't like the tase of wine, you can mix it with carbonated water (it's called a spritzer).

I like drinking (hard) liquor. any kind will do.
it's straight to the point. you don't have to work yourself to a buzz, by drinking all that beer (getting all full and bloated), when all you need is a couple shots here and there and bam - you're good to go.
As a result, drinking any kind of hard liquor is better than drinking a gang of tropical fruity drinks, cocktails, beers, etc.

If your problem is carbohydrates stick with distilled spirits. Bourbon, scotch, rum, vodka, gin, tequila contain 0 carbs. Mix them with plain water, soda water, tomato juice or diet soft drinks.

I always preferred Scotch and water, if that wasn't available I changed to Canadian Whiskey ( such as Canadian Club or Seagram's VO ) and water, The sugary mixes aren't good for you in fact trey contribute a lot to a hangover if you over indulge..

Check out our guide to imported and domestic beer calories. You might be surprised at how good some of the lower cal beers are. You're not simply restricted to "lite" dog's pee stuff!

I would say if you're going to drink, just drink. Enjoy it! I mean if that's your major vice, then at least enjoy it and cut carbs somehwere else.
