I started smoking it at 13 and was a VERY heavy user until 26. It has done damage to my..... Um... What were we talking about?.... Oh yeah, pot. I was a heavy smoker and lit up before getting out of bed and every couple hours throughout the day. I was stoned all day long.

Seriously, take some Niacin about 20-50 mg per day and it will help you out. Most multivitamins will have it in lower doses.

Pot isn't physically addictive but it is mentally addictive. Cut back on the caffeine while you are stopping and that should help with the irratibility.

I know it is tough but it is worth it. I have been clean for 16 years and the residual effects are finally all but gone. I still have trouble with memory.

I am about a year older than you and have been smoking regularly for about the same amount of time. I think that addiction to marijuana is mainly mental. If you are serious about kicking the habit, then you should evaluate your life. Ask yourself what in your life allows you to continue to smoke- then change it! If not maybe you should become involved in a 12 step program if you can't do it on your own. Good Luck!

I find that at certain points of the day, I HAVE to smoke, just cuz it's routine. I suggest finding something to gradually replace that routine. Start smoking less each time, and avoid friends who are always smoking. Find other things that help calm you like music. Marijauna is not addictive. You can stop at anytime, it's all in your mind. You need to learn to control the drug, and not let the drug control you. When you buy it, immediately break it up into portions, so you allow yourself to only smoke a certain amount per day. By doing this, I personally can make an ounce last two weeks rather than two days. If you gradually cut back and do it less and less it will make it easier for you to stop completely.
