My marriage ended 5 months ago and I'm finding it really hard without sex. How long have other people coped for? I'm not into one night stands or any casual sex, but I'm finding myself wondering how long I can last.

Desiring physical intimacy is different for everyone… whether you are longing for the closeness of someone next to you, or looking for a more physical workout, to just good old-fashioned American sex.
The issue here is to decide what you are looking for first, and then pursue that direction.
Two years away from sex, however, is usually appropriate after a marriage; six months to a year after every other breakup!

I went a year with out it because I didn't want to jump into anything and have a tendency to take sex as more then just a romp in the sack. It all depends on how bad you think you need it or is it just that you want it and feel that you will be out of practice if you sustain for a while.

ive been with my mhubby nearly 8 years, so im trying really hard to remember how long it was i lasted when i broke up with my ex, from what i can remember it was about 3 days, i sound like a slapper but i had been tied down to him for such a long time i just wanted to have some fun with no strings attached, and i cant go very long without it either lol.... well i can now cuz im older but way back then i couldnt lol......

Im not married Nor have i ever,,,,, but i been in serious realationships.... and im not that casual sex or one night stands either..... your best solution and this come from experience... is to have your self a sex toy party with your girlfriends and get yourself a few toys try them and trust me you will love them.... Just give it a lil time because of course its not the same but it helps in your time of need... Ohhh and the best part there are no feelings involved and you can pleasure yourself whenever you want.... Good luck

I been married 13yrs, but the longest I have gone without is 9 months (the time of pregnancy). I thought women love sex during pregnancy, guess not my spouse
