For example, a chicken curry made at lunchtime, reheated through to eat at dinner, but is it then ok to reheat anything left for lunch the following day? Assuming the chicken is heated thoroughly.

Also assuming the made curry or dish was refrigerated over night.

I've reheated chicken twice with no problems, as long as you make sure it is 'piping hot' there shouldn't be any safety issues.

Course I have a cast iron constitution... if you are prone to stomach problems then I wouldn't risk it.

Though even then, as long as it is thoroughly reheated, I wouldn't foresee anything troublesome.

Good luck, and bon apetit...

Can You Reheat Chicken Twice

Once the chicken is fully cooked to 180 degrees there is very little chance of getting salmonella or other bacterial problems as long as you refrigerate promptly... The problem is with raw chicken and it's juices. You can reheat in a microwave or the oven.

I would only reheat once. But if you only reheat a portion of it, just enough for that meal then the rest will be good to be reheated again for another meal. Or you can put in a Ziploc bag and freeze it for another time.

ONCE & ONCE ONLY then throw away any that was reheated. If you want to keep some till the next day that's fine provided you do not reheat that portion until then.

I wouldn't reheat anything more than twice. If you reheat it by cooking it slowly to make sure it is heated through and piping hot-should be o.k.

i follow this:
fresh-cook-reheat-reheat (twice o.k)
frozen-defrost and cook- do not reheat

Please only take the guidance of rossminto as the details given are the correct procedures, you should also practice this measure if you wish to cook other meals to be reheated for work etc. take care when freezing food as some foods are not suitable for freezing

i wouldnt, i dont even reheat as a rule any food more than twice. -so chicken would in my books be a definite no-no.
