So you are the bad kid in an alcoholic family? Is that correct!
There would be a lot of problems if not for you! You, whether you know it or not, is what is keeping your family together. It will upset the whole family dynamics when you leave!
Here is a link to the Juvenile Law center which has all the laws.

My state does not have an Emancipation law, though we recognize those from other states!
Usually you have to file a petition in court! Many states make it a requirement that you have a job and a place to live!

Please try to work it out with your parents. Maybe you could go to family counseling with your Mom. If you file for emancipation in court you hurt your family, it is like you are divorcing them. Try to get along and be kind to your family, they will return the kindness you show them. How many children and young people are out there on the streets and suffering, because they made the wrong decision. Are you sure your Therapist agrees, or is it just wishful thinking on your part?

In Connecticut, you do this: You get a job, and hold it for a long time. You support yourself, and become able to pay all your bills, for at least several months. You must prove that your job or ability to maintain one, is secure and stable.
Then you go to Juvenile Matters' office of the clerk, file a motion, and pay $150. You have your hearing in front of the judge, and from tehre on it is only up to him to grant your motion.
In all honesty, very few kids pull that one.

The easiest step is just to ask - I also encountered that type of family environment and I moved out when I was 16. I just told them hey I make your life so difficult I will just move out. No one stopped me and I ran my life.
Do get legally emancipated you must go to court, you would want to try legal aid first and see if they could give you assistance.
Actually once you turn 17 if you are in the US they really can not do anything any way. The cops will not come after you if you are 17.
Good luck

You have to go through the court system. If your therapist agrees maybe he/she can help you.

Talk to an attorney, as certain paperwork and petitions will have to be taken care of, and this is beyond your abilities.
