I am an atheist. I believe there is no God. It's not the fact that it hasn't been proved that a god doesn't exsist but the fact that it hasn't been proved that a god does exsists. Alot argue that we deny to admit that it is a faith. I do admit it is a faith to some extent, atheists believe things along the same line. Maybe triggered by an incident in their life or maybe just don't believe god can be proved. I am in no way prejudice and i am in no way trying to be racist to any religions but i would like your viewpoints on Atheism and Atheists. Thank you.

I am probably agnostic but what you said about history, its true. I am learning alot and i am also learning christianity and it doesn't really seem to fit in. I don't believe Jesus could feed the 5000 with fsish and a bit of bread. Sorry, but it all seems unreal and i don't believe miracles like that happen. If they did poverty and famine would cease to exsist in 3rd world coutries. I hope that makes sense. ^^

I am not an atheist, but I have a hard time judging those who are. It's important that you mention two things: Firstly that God has been neither proven nor disproven (despite what logicians say). Secondly, that atheism is also a faith.
Choosing a side in an undecided issue is always an act of faith. I, for one, have a hard time NOT believing in God. Humans are without peer on the face of this earth. No other animal builds skyscrapers or goes to war. Regardless of your beliefs - Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Scientologist - the unique nature of humankind cannot be denied. Considering that we supposedly evolved with the rest of life on Earth, how does one species end up so far apart from the rest? I have a colleague who explains this by saying man was put here by aliens. Is it more acceptable in scientific communities to believe in aliens than it is to believe in God?
I respect everyone's beliefs as their own. I only ask that you do the same for me.

Often people become atheists when the religion they are born in doesn't provide them a place within its philosophies. Like the religion being man specific and not allowing women to attain equality. The problem here is that people deny a deity for the ramblings of a religion which is man-made. Athesim is just another religious belief when you understand that a religion is defined as anything you do over and over again, as reacting to someone who choses to believe in a God and your reaction of believing that there isn't one.
I believe in a higher power because man hasn't yet learned how to create a flower from nothing. So till then I'll believe in something higher than myself.

As an Atheist you KNOW there is no God, (are no Gods), if you do not know then you are an agnostic. Join the Brights:
www.the-brights.net
The Brights: Persons who have a naturalistic worldview should not be culturally stifled or civic-ally marginalised due to society’s extensive super-naturalism. Rather, they ought to be accepted as fellow citizens and full participants in the cultural and political landscape.
97% of The US National Academy of Sciences are Atheist.
93% of the UK Fellows of the Royal Society are Atheist.
US Atheists remove "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance (it was inserted as late as 1954), remove "In God we Trust" on every dollar bill ( it was inserted only in 1956), Stop the tax-free dollars amassed by televangelists, fleecing gullible people of their savings. Stop the unconstitutionality of Ten Commandments posters on classroom walls and courthouses.
UK Atheists Support a secular State, remove State funding for faith schools.

Atheists were around when Jesus was around. They denied him then, even when he was performing miracles. They denied him when he rose from the dead.Bare in mind Jesus' trail and Crucifixion was the best documented event in human history. He did die on that cross for me and you.He didn't go into some kind of trance or deep sleep. He bled to death, plus he suffocated cause he couldn't exhale. He indeed did die.Thank God,he resurrected in three days in the flesh.
Here's a link you might find interesting.http://www.av1611.org/resur.html
When you read the details you will know for sure he died. You will know for sure that HE is the way,The only way.I will pray for as I always pray for the unbelievers in a hope you can find him in time.
I wish everyone was saved ,that way everyone could feel how good it is to be filled with the holy spirit.A person without faith has nothing.A person without enough time has nothing.God is not going to manifest himself right in front of you so you can say, okay you exist. When he does that, that's when you have missed the rapture.

Everyone is entitled to their beliefs-whether you be a christian, muslim, buddhist or atheist. I see them the say way i see persons who have turned away from the church and persons from other religions (this is not in a bad light).
Everyone will encounter different experiences in life where it concerns faith, belief and spirituality and this will affect the decisions they make about their beliefs. My experiences have led me to believe that God does exsist and though i don't agree with your beliefs i won't hate you for it cuz you made it based on the experiences you had in life.
I think that all atheists came to the conlusion that there is no God based on an experience.

Beliefs are the paradigm that we use to live out our lives. The difference between an atheistic paradigm and theistic paradigm is that an atheist has no deity requiring submission and must find his or her morality through secular means while a theist has a deity to submit to and has the religion's morality available to use to his or her benefit.
Atheists are like everyone else. They want to live. They want to be healthy. They want to feel good about being alive. How they approach these things is all that differs.
The problem is that religious beliefs separate people, particularly when you have religions that require members to convert others or require members to not associate with other not in the religion. That's where conflicts start. Add that with civil liberties conflicting with religious morality and you get conflict, which you see here.

I believe that a God can't be porved a hundred percent as thats the whole point of faith. I just know their is a God who has helped me so much in my life and I don't know what I would dso without him. I can't understand how someone can't have God in their lives without being lost and depressed. Sorry, that sounded really racist against you, I just mean that God means so much to me and some day you will feel him in my belief maybe not yours. Thats my belief though I respect yours.

It is a culture developed under freemasonry which is from the evil one to deny the existence of God and to increase secular society.
To deny the reason of human existence. How lost you must feel at times when you do not know why the real reason you are alive
or where you are going. that must be a scary thing. I am not saying this to offend or to hurt you But I love the human person enough to tell them the truth.
take care and i wish you well

I don't think any more or less highly of atheists than I do anyone else. You say you'd need proof of God's existance. What sort of proof? I mean, the only proof I have that you exist is that you've contacted me. As a Christian, I believe that God has got in touch with us through the Bible.
But then there's lots of religious books that claim to be from God. I suppose its like lots of people on the internet claiming to be you. The only way I can find out who you really are is to find out about you. How do I do that? I email you (don't worry this is only hypothetical!). How do you get in touch with God? You pray and ask him to reveal himself to you. How does God get in touch with you? He uses the Bible (read it!), creation (to say "hey look at this amazingly designed place" and to show that he appreciates beauty), people like me- and supremely Jesus- who was God made man, hard to get your head round but again, its all in the bible. All the best in your question for truth.

I am Catholic. I LOVE a good Atheist because they ask deep probing questions. Sadly, they usually ask because they want to knock me down, rather than because they are genuinely interested. Ah well...
I also feel very sad for them because they do not know God.
The science of "neurotheology" has shown that some people are not "hardwired" to experience God. Which is very sad. Many Christians will refute this because they can't fathom that God would create people unable to experience Him. But how many Christians have never experienced God and believe in him on pure faith?
