i like slow cooking, i have 4 kids and a hungry hubby so most of my meals are casseroles and stews that i can put in the oven to cook slowly whilst getting on with other things

Fast frying is for crispy.
One advantage of slow cooking is you can make a sauce.

Depends entirely on what you are cooking. eg chips want slow frying to start, resting then fast frying; bacon is better slow fried; etc

Slow cooking - cheaper (you can use cheaper cuts of meat), healthy (no added fat) and makes the meat and veg very tender. Its conveient - you can perpare it the night before, leave it in the fridge and put it on in the morning. You don't have to eat together, it can be left cooking if someone will be home late.

Slow cooking so I can sit on my butt all day.
Frying if I have to stand and pay attention the whole time. I've done enough of that in my life.
