What you feel is remorse for what you said. He’s going to remember that always, however he might say something latter on when it builds up, if he hadn’t said anything to you at the moment he is holding his anger in. He might mention it out of the blue, so I advise you bring it up and get it over with and let him know it’s tearing you up inside. That way he won’t be more anger admitting you guilt will help him also know you care about him and acknowledge it was wrong and you won’t do it again.

How many times had momma told you, "No name-calling!" Do you even care about making your man feel like S H I T in front of his friends? Gee, why don't you approach this the old-fashioned way and say "I'm sorry"? I know how SORRY you are, does he? The problem with words is that once they are uttered, they are irretrievable, now doesn't that just make you feel special??? Hurts can be avoided by simply being considerate and compassionate to BEGIN WITH...plus, you'll never have to say "I'm sorry!" I hope that you regard my counsel and make yourself humble before him, and apologize. Peace

sounds like u hurt his feelings especially if it was a serious comment not just "you guys are being stupid". You should take the first step and apologize and make sure you explain why you said it. You were wrong and he has the right to be upset with you, if he goes overboard doesn't accept your apology and flips out then he has an issue.
It was wrong to do it publicly but if he tries to be all pissy and act tough because it was in front of his friends then he probably is overcompensating. Any guy who takes more pride in his image in front of his friends rather than, caring about your relationship is a loser. I don't believe that you should kiss his ***, or apologize in front of his friends. You don't need to degrade yourself, you insulted him, he is the only one you need to apologize to. if he cannot accept your apology and tries to drag the whole thing out then he may not be worth it if he is going to blow lil things out of proportion. good luck

Uh oh, you f-ucked up bad. Making a guy look bad in front of his friends is a huge no no. Um I think I would do some major a s s kissing if I were you. Why would you call him stupid in the first place? Thats not cool.

Ouch, that musta hurt him. I've done that before, and he told me right away that it really hurts to be called stupid (and he's not stupid by the way). I apologized and told him I would not ever say that again.
He's going to probably act withdrawn perhaps and hurt.
The best you can do is apologize for what you said, and tell you didn't mean it, unless you did don't lie to him.

If he has any balls you really screwed up.
If he says anything, offer to make a public apology to him in front of his friends.
If he says nothing, forget it and continue to break his self-esteem down to the point where he is even more spineless and pussy whipped than he is now.
See when you insult him in front of his friends it shows them that he is less of a man, you have asserted your dominance over him and have gone through the act of attempting to control him publicly, thus telling his friends (whether you meant to or not) that you are the "leader" in this relationship and he is your *****.

properly you had no actual hitting him. regardless of if it replaced right into a poster or no longer. you may desire to no longer be hitting him. So i will make certain why he observed as you that. confident, he shouldn't of accomplished that yet you made him disillusioned. basically supply it some days and notice how that is going. yet in a relationship you may desire to no longer be hitting him!

I guess since I've know my best friend since childhood it doesn't matter if we call each other stupid or an idiot. My best friend knows she can say anything to me. We even say I love you. We are both married and I have no family so she is my sister.

You're giving too much importance to that!
Tell him you're sorry for calling him stupid and everything will be OK!
After all, it's not such a big mistake...probably he deserved it!
Good luck
