The name describes our aged premium center-cut steaks. It doesn't explain the other reasons we're destined to become your favorite local restaurant. Consider our wide selection of inventive entrees: Pecan-Encrusted Swordfish; Filet of Pork in Marsala Sauce; Steamed Sea Bass served Oriental style. Tempura Lobster Tails. Our acclaimed Stoney River Crab Cakes. Desserts big enough to share, like Cappuccino Creme Brulee. Four dozen wines served by the glass in addition to our Cellar Selections Reserve List. The relaxing ambiance of a first-class mountain lodge. Service that's polished but not pretentious; hospitality that's off the scale. All at less-than-special-occasion prices. Comfortable, upscale. Casual elegance. It will be our pleasure to serve you.

The Scene
The small French country exterior conceals a hushed, intimate dining room with plush banquettes and floral-upholstered armchairs at white-clothed tables. A well-seasoned service team once again keeps an eagle eye on the proceedings. The expected titan-of-industry types are joined by some younger couples.
The Food
Returning chef Roland Liccioni's classic French fare befits this revered kitchen's long-standing reputation as a fine dining retreat. His light touch transforms lobster ravioli with a salmon mousse-stuffed squash blossom into an ethereal overture; for a more grounded opener, earthy wild mushroom soup, is richened with cream. In keeping with house tradition, entrees include duos and trios, such as a game threesome of bison, rabbit loin and quail. Roasted loup de mer (sea bass) on a bed of toothy couscous pearls is sauced with a bright green, grassy-bitter watercress emulsion. A perfect puff of Grand Marnier souffle is a fitting close.

There's a whole bunch on Milwaukee Avenue. I love Tuscany. Others are Bob Chinn's, Weber Grill. Take a ride down Milwaukee and you'll see quite a few places.

If you like good, VERY reasonably priced middle eastern food, I'd suggest Pita Inn, 122 S Elmhurst Rd, (847) 808-7733.
The falafel is fine and chicken shwarma will rock you.

If you like seafood go to Bob Chinn's on Milwaukee Ave. It's kinda pricey and loud (always crowded), but they have best and freshest seafood in my opinion.
If you like burgers, right next door to Chinn's is Hackney's.
If you like french food, Le Francaise is also good.
